  • Greetings everyone! Today I finally finished my hydroboost brake install and it works great! I used CPP steering hose kit for all my lines. I also went to the junkyard to get a cheap brake booster from a 2002 GMC Express van.

      Look out for a early 2000's GMC/CHevy full sized van. Express or Savana

    Weird how I have the exact same booster you had and also a 454 in my 53 truck and it appears I have way more room than you did in a WAY smaller engine bay! Also weird how both of ours are satin black and also share the same steering wheel..
    Even as a Plumber/welder by trade I would have actually taken the time to tap and die the two rods to have perfect adjustment to the pedal. I would have just left the old rod in the old eyelet and drilled right though that, cut it long for plenty of threads and added a jamb nut.

      If I had your skills etc I would have done it. My impatience is terrible

      After working out a few things, the hydroboost works just fine!

      @@DadbrosGaragewhat are the few things you had to work out? This would help us get test fire when we do ours! I already have a hydro boost out of a 2001 2500hd Silverado. Thanks for posting this btw and sweet idea on flipping the booster, I haven’t seen that yet.

    I’ve been back and forth and going with a hydroboost. Did you notice a significant braking difference? I can say that my current setup with 4 wheel disc brakes will not lock the wheels up.

    Any lag from the pedal releasing back? By using t fitting

    • @DadbrosGarage
      @DadbrosGarage  Před 3 měsíci

      @@DadbrosGaragenoted and also can you run the hydro boost without the power steering cooler or is it best to go ahead and get it and install? also where can i find that cooler or what's the part number for it?

    How do you bleed these hydrobooster?

    • @DadbrosGarage
      @DadbrosGarage  Před rokem

      Same way as vacuum. Just bleed master cylinder and each caliper
