Hi Jules, I would like to add one more reason--- just for the sheer enjoyment ! I still shoot digital when I HAVE to. Shooting film just lets me enjoy photography.

I agree! And it's not just the fact that you're shooting film vs digital, its that you are using cameras that are made of metal rather than plastic that will likely outlive you. I find there is a visceral and tactile enjoyment to using old cameras, and due to their relative simplicity, if you can use a Nikon, you can easily learn to use a Leica or a Minolta or a Rollei 35 .
Till I go to my grave nothing will beat the use of a film camera. The feel and the beauty are wonderful. I have many Nikon bodies from the Fs to the Nikormats and a few Minoltas from my early days when minoltas were affordable such as the SRT 101. And ,yes I have digital cameras. My last 15yrs as a working professional forced me to shoot digital like my fellow photogs. Here's what I think about the comparison ...
I compare the film cameras to old Studebakers and the digitals to the boring Camrys and their ilk. Long live FILM CAMERAS!

Both repairs were back to me in less than a week.
I used to say I would never go into digital. I tried it and have never looked back. Sooooo much cheaper to use digital. I shoot thousands of photos at a time...NO way will film be cheaper anymore. You can shoot all the film you want but not this guy... unless it's just to remember the other way for a while. I have a lot of film stored away with some great images on them but the digital will last a looooong time. I put them on a different drive every other year or so for safe keeping. I have zero worries about it. Happy shooting...Peace

Wish I'd seen this vid before I posted a comment about your '13 Reasons Digital is better than Film'. I feel kinda stupid now!!
No reason to feel stupid. There are good reasons to shoot, film, DSLR, mirrorless, medium format, large format and even cell phone. It’s great that we have so many options today. When I started out over 50 years ago, film was the only option. Thanks for watching my videos. I love hearing all opinions.
