She's not really in that alt scene anymore. Paramore has kind of transcended it. If it wasn't for her being in a band she'd probably be on the same level as a Billie or a maybe even Taylor.

@@imac84 Paramore and other pop punk bands defined a generation of rock music in the '00s. She might not become as big as Cher, but she's already an icon to anyone that listened to alternative music back then, and it's amazing that she's still going on.

Hayley is legitimately SO talented and I love how much she talks about her growth, it's so genuine and honest! Female fronted bands have so much pressure to be and look a certain way, so I'm glad she's getting to do what she feels is best and not have to worry so much about the expectations!

I never thought Hayley and Paramore would be this big decades ago. I mean, they're punk rock or emo and it's hard to penertrate the fame they got when your scene is not so popular and massively embraced by the society, but here they are..here she is still in the lane.. Its crazy realizing that what Hayley mentions in the beginning, about female artists in rock before were always being cornered and labeled as "posers" and this applies to female fans back then too! I remember wanting to paint my nails red pinky finger x black, or wear just one earring, put rhinestones on my leather jacket, wear a red lip, and I'd be labeled in the worst terms by my male friends in gigs or other girls there too. And forget about wearing high heels with leather clothing, or even brands. Nowadays there's a lot more freedom and you can see it in the fans showing up to these concerts wearing THEE best styles ever. I love it ❤ i love it for Hayley too.
It's not that crazy, it's pretty simple. Wanna be part of the punk scene? Be there for the music and the scene, not cause you wanna look cool. Quite literally the definition of a poser. The reason you think there is more fashion acceptability now is because these aren't punk/hardcore/diy shows. They're concerts for POP music.
