- So I played XDefiant now that it is finally fully released. This video will serve as my initial impressions and thoughts after my first few hours of playing the game. I hope you enjoy!

Honestly, this game is so refreshing to play. I think your analysis is spot on: levelling up weapons takes a very long time and quite a grind, even for one weapon. TTK is a weird one, sometimes it seems to take an age, other times it feels like I die instantly. However, it’s much more fun that CoD at the moment- what will keep people playing is the addition of different modes, maps and gameplay. If Ubisoft have kept Siege 6 going for so long, I trust them with XDefiant.
headshots are the reason ttk can feel weird , but i think is ok rewarding good players that can hit them adds to the skill cealing of the game
gunfights feel completely unfair. i never shoot first and die first on cod smh.

It’s fun for now but I do hope they add more game modes and hopefully even a Ground War type map because right now it’s fine but it definitely needs more

So far XDefiant feels like I'm playing Overwatch game modes in CoD. But what grinds my gears about is are that the specs needed to play on PC are no different than the previous console generation. Like it could've released on PS4 or XB1, but it's on PS5 and the Series X/S only when it comes to consoles.
Totally agree, Xdefiant isn't some kind of amazing current generation spectacle. It could easily run on PS4 and Xbox One but the devs seem to be lazy fucks.
It's not so much that the game wouldn't run on the old consoles that they didn't release on them, it's mainly to do with the bosses boss and investors. Releasing on old gen this far into current gen makes it seem like this gen is severely lacking (which it is), current gen needs more games, that's what all these studios are gonna focus on now.
@@Nitroh- the problem is millions of casuals are still running last gen systems. That's a lot of people to just cut out. XDefiant is a free game, so it needs in game transactions to survive.
@RetroClubXYZ1 It should just entice people to want to upgrade I spose. It's been nearly 4 years, in all fairness people have had plenty of time to buy new consoles now. Regardless if the game is free or not if people wanna play it they will judt have to get a new console, same for any new game in the future.
@@Nitroh-it would but most new games are to expensive for what you get back, most new games on next gen have very little replay value making playing old games alot better and since play station doesn’t look like its gonna be adding a backwards compatible feature like xbox causing it to be s stagnant console untill whatever new game comes out, that’s why console gaming is basically dead, siege slightly revived console gaming but thats on a very small scale, pc is honestly the better option for games now bc you get alot more versatility

If you get mad in cod you’ll get mad in xdefiant. No point in swapping. You either play cod or xdefiant. Not both
Imo its alright. It sucks that you dont get anything for leveling up so it makes it pointless. I hope that they do something with player levels like for example:
We could get in game crafting materials to unlock skins or something like that.
In my opinion i think the system is fine. You get less people that just swap to the best op gun setup on the get go in lower levels.

Mark’s already said in the past that it’s being worked on. Lord knows how long it’ll take to implement though. I would hope we see it in season 1 but I doubt it.

Whats been bothering me much more than dying in 0.2sec and taking 3 sec to kill someone is the fact that sometimes when enemies shoot me first and i shoot back and get 1 or 2 hitmarks (not incindiary ammo) then after i die i see the enemy has 98-100hp, it either i didnt hit him cuz of connectivity or my guns shoots sponges and do 2 dmg?????

I have a lot of input lag on some matches and then others I am fine. Also TTK feels so fast, like I somehow don't do any damage but then they melt me in 1 second and rinse and repeat
I thought I was the only experiencing getting killed every time someone looks at me, whereas it takes me a whole clip to kill someone

I played it last night, hated it, and i sucked. Tried it again today, and it slowly grew on me and have had so many amazing games. Not bad at all.
I liked it till about 5 minutes ago where I got disconnected after playing a few games perfectly fine n then every single game I get kicked for server latency but I never lag in any other game.
The only people I've heard calls it a cod killer is cod CZcamsrs...not one other person has said this.

On CoD when I actually frag out I still feel like I didn't have fun and Don't want to play again.
On Xdefiant I get my ass handed to me. and I'm still playing match after match because I'm having fun and am not even stressing.
So thats where I'm at.
I nearly destroyed my controller by playing only two ours of that game... If you are a casual player it's very frustrating...
cod puts so much stress because of the excessive movement and sbmm.
xdefiant doesnt have these two problems, i personally feel less exhausted playing it and i rather play this any day

The lack of skill base matchmaking itself is enough to keep me playing this game. That itself just tells me that the devs will "most likely" listen to the community about some stuff
Saying the ttk is too short is a garbage take. Every one of these shooters now has a slow af ttk go play one of those. Finally i get a game where bullets actually do something and i can clean house.
That's why counter strikes quick ttk will always be the best.
@@TheGreatOne-gw7xh and COD hardcore mode... im sick of hitting someone a whole bunch of times just for them to hide around a corner last second then i die from somewhere else. in COD HD i was always top of leaderboard. i would kill everyone in sight with one shot and run around dominating. this game i can't get kills because people just hide when HP gets low. They shouldnt even get that time to react that way. you should die if hit at all with assault rifle. its bs.. why does every gun have smg dmg

I played after work last night and so far i really like it
I played it for a good amount and its fun as long as you dont have some bunny hoping apex players that seem to dodge a freaking flamethrower by doing it but somehow 1 shots the whole team with a damn shotty from abnormal ranges that even who get it its a double barrel is should be strong but if someone as me who loves shottys is disgusted about how stupid there made it and how freaking bunny hoping left and right lets ya dodge a damn flamer than i dont even wanna know how bad the game is when the first cheaters get in and Ubisoft not going to give a sht

Leveling up the guns takes way to long. After 3 ours of play and using double xp only got that m4 to level 5. I find its way to slow.

Game feels kinda ok , better than MW2 , slowet than MW3 . The Hit registration is a mess , almost everyone plays Echelon which is more than annoying and some Weapons just feel off

tbh xdefiant is gonna be another hyperscape or another splitgate its gonna gain popularity for like 3-5 months then the game will flop i dont see anything different about this game other than the fact theres no eomm or sbmm it looks like splitgate and overwatch combined with the gun graphics/interface of bo4 or maybe mw19, also this game is dead when bo6 comes out

I'm happy they got rid of prone, when I'm trying to kill someone they just prone down every 5 seconds. It's so annoying and I'm happy it's not in this game.

@arbernuka3679 and you have the hackers infesting all of the old call of duty games. So really if the old games come to game pass, unless they sort out the hackers, all it means is you now can pay slightly less to have your personal details stolen and get stomped by a hacker.
Who is gonna waste all there storage on Current Cod + old Cod lol people might play em out of nostalgia a few times but do you really think old cods going on pass is gonna revive the dead series.

This dude made a big deal about leveling up weapons. They did that on purpose to put weapon boosters in the season pass. So it’s not really that big of a deal to be honest. And don’t act like yall don’t be spending $7000 on cod skins and can’t spend seven dollars for a season pass in this game.

Yes enjoy the game but attachment unlocks are a chore. Marksman rifle with first actual scope being unlocked at like lvl 12 is silly

As a COD player who almost made it to Iridescent, no SBMM has been fantastic. Went on a 25 kill streak earlier without even sweatimg, only died cause I ran outta ammo 🤣 No noobs can't hide being SBMM anymore, LET'S GOOOO!

It’s honestly eclipsing cod already. Not going to lie - I have over 609 friends. Well over 100 of them are actively playing Xdefiant…. Cod HQ… 2 lol. 2 players playing. XD is killing it in stream charts on twitch and CZcams. Far exceeding COD/Warzone…. So actually it’s hurting cod objectivly right now.

It’s free to play and that tells you everything,….its not worth the time. The game is boring AF after two days. The M4 shoots pillows and I get outgunned by everything it seems lol. Lowest ping in the lobby every single match as well and my KD is 1.25 which is absolutely garbage for me. It’s a sweat fest every match.
The game feels like it’s still on the rare side of cooked, it needs some tuning and tweaking, ttk is to long, hit registration is off, the levels and junk take to long for everything I could go on and on

This game is in no way shape or form a cod killer it’s has 0% chance to compete with cod. I hate it was labeled the cod killer cause that’s actually killing the game itself. They sold the fans on no SBMM but they failed to say the game is clunky and a mess on console. The game as a whole is not good. It’s bare minimum.
Feels very mid to me. Match making disaster aside. Floaty ass movement, inconsistent TTK, goofy overly cartoonish graphics and just feels weird. I love that its FTP, cost me nothing but time. I hope others enjoy it tho and frankly wish I did like it.

Played COD since before COD4 (cant remember the titles), but dropped it in disgust because of the shameless manipulative sbmm introduced in 2019. Have scratched the itch playing old Battlefields and Cods (with all the inherent problems).
Xdefiant is my new home.
TTK is inconsistent and there is a noticeable lack of things to do in the game besides unlock new attachments/guns/characters. If the only purpose is unlocking stuff and there's no true mastery camo beyond gold... what's the point of playing? I know some will say that "oh because the game is fun"... that doesn't really cut it anymore for a lot of people, including me. Games have to have something to accomplish, some reason for existing beyond just haha game fun, and XDefiant just does not have that.
A way they could address this would be massively expanding the sandbox with more weapons because there should not be a single weapon class in this game with less than 7 guns, I'm sorry, that is absolutely pitiful. You cannot tell me that the game is mechanically complex enough they could only do 3 damn sniper rifles, that's absolutely absurd and on par with a poorly made mobile game. At least The Finals had destructible environments to make things interesting, there's just absolutely nothing new offered in this game.
Final note, guns take way too much to level up.

People that come from call of duty want this game to be call of duty and think it’s not that great. People that don’t play call of duty think the game is awesome and it’s just a really fun game. Call of duty players should just go back to call of duty. 👍👍👍👍👍
My friend showed me the weapons, characters, lack of a PvE mode and felt no guilt telling him it looks very mid. Even watched gameplay and it didn't peak my interest. When a game develops no identity of its own and instead labels it as CoD's killer, people will often set their expectations as high as Call of Duty itself.
