- Join us in today’s episode as we see the more modern Lahore, Pakistan. We will visit Packages Mall and one of Lahore’s most modern areas: Gulberg!
EXPLORING MODERN LAHORE PAKISTAN: We start our day by taking a careem to the Packages Mall, one of Pakistan’s largest and most modern malls, and honestly cannot believe how beautiful and modern this mall is! We do some shopping at Khaadi, grab a coffee and wander around the mall before we hop on another careem to the area of Gulberg.
Gulberg is known as one of Lahore’s most modern areas, we visit some more stores including Ethnic, Beechtree and Khaadi before walking down MM Alam Road to have lunch at Howdy Rooftop! After enjoying a delicious lunch consisting of a burger and some pasta with chicken we head over to Layers Bakeshop to buy some dessert.
We then take another careem back to our hotel where we show you around the Luxus Grand Hotel and enjoy our dessert! We really enjoyed modern Lahore and Gulberg area

lahore is a historical city and has many place to visit. you should visit the most ancient badshahi mosque, shahi qila, lahore museum, shalimar gardens, the gates of Lahore(dehli gate, lahori gate . . .), emporium mall etc

It was probably Friday and on a friday afternoon Muslims have a special weekly prayer which almost everyone attends. That's why shops were closing in packages mall
if its Friday, then it must be time for the Friday prayer. it is usually around half an hour. after that the stores are opened again.

the shops were closing because of friday prayers which are around 1:30 pm on fridays. Pretty sure same happens in other muslim countries aswell
Absolutely amazing. Visit k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place. Whenever you start a short solo trip of 4-5 days, Moses Peak is a must. It is a 5300m height۔ from the top of moses pea which you can see the views of the K2 world second highest peak in the world, Nangaparbat, K6 k11 and K 12 views in one frame. best time from May to October. This is a family tracked.its open Zone, one did not need a trekking permit or have to pay Royalty fee to climbed this Mountain tower
If it's a Friday, then shops close between approx 12:30 and 3 for the weekly jumma (friday) prayers. Food courts are usually still open as the jumma prayer is not mandatory on women (the afternoon prayer is, the congregation style jumma prayer is not) so that's one thing to be mindful of on Fridays. Other than that they close everyday for the evening prayer/aftar time during the month of Ramazan.

Hey guys, just a little tip for your next trip try planning a trip somewhere in between Oct-April these are the months that are pleasant here. End of April it starts to get hot.... Also just in case you're in Lahore in summers avoid Black or other dark colours during the day time and thick fabric as well.
Also it was conveyed wrong to you Gulberg isn't really the most fancy or modern area but it used to be the most posh area of Lahore until 90s.... But Gulberg has almost everything if not all.
That's also the Pakistan World need to see.
