  • Austin police attribute slow response to a homicide in southeast Austin near 183 and Metropolis, where officers discovered a victim inside an initially reported abandoned vehicle, to staffing shortages and prioritization of calls, noting over an hour's delay in dispatching officers due to the call's low priority and the department's approximately 500 vacancies.

How is it that there is no threat to the public? They don't even know what happened.

Everyone knows Austin defunded their police by 34% and is a " santuary city". Everyone also knows the police who remained have retired or left the department. Austin voters need to stay put and enjoy their chosen Democrat utopia.
