I saw the old fella from Home Alone in one of the commercials. Maybe that's where they got the idea to cast him? At any rate, they simply don't do ads like these anymore. Very emotional and sweet at times.

Freddie & Sam are both in their 60s now. Unfortunately, they got divorced 15 years after that commercial was made. Sam was having an affair with one of his co-workers. Freddie knew about it for years but by 2003 could no longer ignore it. They got divorced and Sam ended up marrying that co-worker and having two children with her. He then divorced her in 2009. Sam married again in 2011 and is about to celebrate his 10th anniversary. Freddie never remarried. She was involved with a man of and on until 2013. In 2009, she opened a successful online business which afforded her the ability to retire very early and purchase a home in Newport Beach.

The one with the kid and his older brother coming home and singing may only be a commercial, but it’s a masterpiece.

I teared up over the piano teacher commercial, because my piano teacher died by suicide, in 1989. Then, I got depressed over the "40th Birthday" commercial, since I'll be 40 in February. Time goes by too fast.
