16 yrs ago when this came out i got the album for my bday.. I'd just given birth and lost my ganmother... This album used to be on repeat... Some songs make me cry where its hurts like you can't breath 🥺.... After trauma it made me think about suicide well i tried❤but i Just wanted the pain to stop... Missed sitting in nannys kitchen me and my twin taken turns playing songs lol her on her bass me on the drums 😝...they were the days.

This is probably the most profond thought i will have today, and maybe even of my life time. But for those of you who are still around enjoying the music because it was good enough to keep you going let it sink in, because for some people it wasn't enough... including the person who made this music, that helped you get through it. Music is timeless, it is music. Enjoy it, love it, let it sink in, let it pass by. Experience it.
I could listen to about half of the songs on this album lying down, staring at the ceiling, and feeling the emotions. So beautiful. Thank God for Linkin Park and Chester!

Love this album so much man, literally singing every song.
I remeber listening to all albums in elementry for the first time. It still sometimes feels like the first time. I wosh there were more albums comming but its past the end now. I still remember the summer being excited for my first year in junior high thinking maybe my mom will let me go to a linkin park concert, considering I was older but then chester left us and I never went.
Still listening this masterpiece in 2019, it remembers me my good age when i was a kid!!

I remember when this album came out people talked so much shit for some reason. I was just so glad there was a new Linkin Park album out and played this on repeat.
Same with me. I was eleven when i found Linkin Park. Then when i became 12 this record dropped and i was so glad and loved it. It took a few months till i realised that many people disliked minutes to midnight. I am happy that i listened to this without knowing the opinion of others.
When i've first hear a thousand suns i was really dissapointed, because it was too different for my taste. Years later i listened to it again and loved it.
Went to see these guys live in 2014 (besides Rammstein the best act i've ever watched live)

Given this was the last album chester wrote before he committed suicide, so many of the songs sound like a goodbye note. He was an incredibly talented man. Please, people, check on your loved ones. Depression can destroy even the strongest people.

I remember waiting for this to drop in 2007, I was at the phase of my life where basically 75% of music I listened was Linkin Park, and I was disappinted, because the album did not meet the skyhigh expectations I had at the time. It wasn't the second coming of the Messiah.
Maybe now, 16 years later it's time to give it another go.
How did you like it all these years later and with more context of why it changed so much? (Chester damaging his voice so he had to change how he sung and then his suicide.)

i remember this album back in 9th grade, helping my sister and her husband move to Arizona and I thought my BF and I would be together. Well, life slapped me in the face and long distance relationships are just a fantasy. I loved the view and wildlife and storms that passed over the desert.
