Best announcement of the year imo.
Great profile picture! - Onix
Why did you not like the first? I havent played it yet
To sum it up, all the stories weren't intertwined and the interactions between characters were very, very minimal. -Rudy
@ I gotcha
@ I gotcha
@@zacatkinson3926 The real problem is that while the stories are actually interconnected, you won't figure it out until you are about the fight the optional super boss at the end of the game unless you are paying a lot of attention. The 8 individual stories also don't include the other characters because they didn't want to take possible party compositions into account and character interactions are limited to optional random conversations every once in a while. The individual stories are more or less solid (different people obviously like different stories better) but I could see how weird it can be that these eight random people start traveling and fight alongside each other without a shown reason.
@@seangoldman6833 Thats what I figure. I'll likely check out this sequel first
the 1st game story is also intertwine, idk what you guys smoking, maybe finish the END GAME? lol
No it wasn't, the characters would walk into a building with the whole party then have their story moments without the other members even talking or interacting, it was awkward and took me out of the experience. That's not intertwined. The stories of the other characters don't affect the entirety of the party much. The end game I understand has some more connected stuff but to get 10% of what I want after 90% of what I don't... Yeah no thanks. I'm glad they're trying again and made it a selling point that they're intertwined stories. - Onix
The original Octopath's story was great even with that problem of the stories not being "connected". I can't imagine dropping a game just because of that. The music, art style, combat and story were incredible well done. If you didn't like the first one I doubt you'll like the sequel, the only difference you are going to see it's the intertwine story being executed well.
Well... Both of us dropped it for that very reason, it's really not that farfetched 😬 and we stated that we really LIKED what the first game did. Like we both said in the video, that Story connection was all it needed to be a better game and it sure seems like that's what's going to happen so... I'm looking forward to OT2. - Onix
@ thank you!! This is *exactly* the issue I had with the first game too. I am so excited the staff seems to have listened to feedback and given us what was missing
it was still good, i think this series was based off live a live and it didn't get super interntwined until the end too. Still amazing games.
I wonder if there will be a continuation of 1 I don't like that games are offline, Your time was useless
Its a story based game, why should it be online?
The plot will be completely separate from the first one. But why would it be online? It's a story-based JRPG?
Unless it's xenoblade
there is a OT Champions Of The Continent, and it's online game, you can play it
