The ruler of an ancient kingdom will scatter its tears around the kingdom and we will have to gather them all, defeat Ganon, and then Zelda and the Goddess Hylia from the past will combine their powers, and with the help of the gathered tears seal him away. Amazing reactions like always, you have the best reactions!
That explains why Link is using the Tears to traverse! Also maybe Zelda dies in this one.

My guess is that âTears of the Kingdomâ is a reference to whatâs in the sky and the pieces that are falling down to the land of Hyrule. Mainly because the ground erupted in the first trailer we got.

I think Tears of the Kingdom refers to those 7 magatama jewels around the carved figure we see at the beginning of the trailer. Those are probably what you collect from dungeons, assuming they are coming back. Perhaps it's similar to Link to the Past's crystals with the maidens trapped inside. Maybe "tears" also has a double meaning with literal sadness. Or maybe the spoiler is a connection to the Silent Realm's tears.

My biggest complaint with octopath 1 was how disconnected the stories felt from each other so the fact they're having the stories intertwine is supper hype.
It amazes me how many people see "Tears" in the Zelda title and don't immediately think of the Tears of Light from Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword. If the name really IS a reference to those, then there's a ton of story implications and spoilers we could potentially draw from that.
Exactly, especially since we now can see the logo has the master sword in 2 designs and everything they have shown us looks like it has a lot of ties with Skyward Sword.

"Tears of the Kingdom" is a spoiler because Zelda dies. This is probably also where the time travel mechanic plays a role in the story. At a certain point when you see the wall carvings at the beginning, you can clearly see zelda laying sideways at one point, and remember in the first teaser trailer we see her falling into a dark hole in the caves

I think that must be Ganon. You can see some malice either coming out of the figure or reaching for the figure. If this where botw Zelda dying, the figure would have her clothes, traditional dress or short hair.

This is the kind of reaction I love to see, show respect to every genre of game and their fans even you didn't like it or not interested.
In the rare times I get annoyed at a streamer's reaction to some Direct headlines, I always check out Roger's reaction for the endless positivity even for things he doesn't care about to make me feel better.
DUDE this direct was absolutely cracked, XB Poppi-like (relative?) character and swimsuits, OCTOPATH 2, PIKMIN F****** FOUR, Spiritual Danganronpa Sequel RAINCODE, Zelda release date, AND 8 OLD FARMING RPGS (jk with the this last one) but the rest HOLY, best direct in ages.

I don't even watch the atual directs on Nintendo's channel, I come straight here and hype with you because it's always filled with positivity even for stuff you're not interested in and chat is not as toxic. I'm crying because my wallet will be gone and I haven't even gotten Xenoblade 3 and Triangle Strategy and I'm excited for half the games in this direct! Can't wait for the next streams!

Octopath II looks amazing, they fixed the 2 main criticisms from the first game and fixed them. Stories now intertwine and it's coming to PC and PS4/PS5 (possibly day 1). Seems like we will be getting mounts like the boats and horses to get around the world faster too! Hopefully it still has the depth in the job system and has secret jobs you can find (maybe more than 4 this time).

But seriously, this was a good Direct for a lot of good games. I was stoked for FE Engage. Totally want the Front Mission games! Octopath 2 was a great surprise reveal! I'll be shedding nostalgia tears with the next Theatrhythm. Jazzed for Tears of the Kingdom.
The next 6 months are pretty well stacked for Nintendo.
I think "Tears" relates to the water effect when Link moves through ceilings to the floors above, and from a story perspective may mean that Zelda dies when she falls through the fall in the reveal trailer

I will say Gravity Rush did the seamless clouds to floating cities thing half a decade ago, and with more vibrant colors/etc. So I am def looking forward to seeing more gameplay that shows off more of Hyrule. We all knew the graphics would be a little crunchy still tho lol.
Rewatching you blow your voice out for Octopath Traveler II was a BIG MOOD! I finally got around to playing through it, and itâs been fun (though the difficulty spike was a rough patch, but that might just be me). So getting an official sequel announced today was perfect, LOL!
IDK where to start with guessing what Zelda TOTK or Pikmin 4 will each bring. I just know Iâm hoping to pre-order both of them the moment theyâre ready.

the name is referring to the Kingdom of the Zonai, which is the spoiler. Most Zelda fans understand this. But the tears are a mystery, for now...maybe it's all about these 7 symbols called Tears...or it may be tears for fallen Zonai, or tears of joy for a wedding which accurs with Zelda and... Someone else...which we do not see yet...thats all I have for you Roger :)

I don't think they held off on the title for spoiler reasons. It took a long time for them to reveal Breath of the Wild's title, it was known as Zelda Wii U for the longest time.

When it comes to Nintendo showcases, It has to be Roger every time when I watch this.
My thoughts are the ports for Zelda WW and TP will most likely be revealed in the next direct and come out in March as a way to hype of BotW 2.
Octopath Traveler 2 is such a huge shock to me. I thought OT is gonna be stuck in a mobile game for eternity and HD-2D titles will be focused on brand new game and classic remakes (still eyeing on FF5 and FF6 HD-2D remake)
And OT2 looks *soo* good and they really adressed the issue with OT1, especially with character interaction. Man i'm hyped, Octopath is like my favorite JRPG of all time
(I'm gonna miss OT1 cast soo much lol)
Why does everyone want classic games to all be remade in that same style? I love FF6 and I want it to get a remake that really shows it off but I feel like making it look like that would be so...streamlined. it would look like so many other games.
@@BJGvideos I mean, HD-2D is the perfect style for a SNES style game and it's basically one of Square's trademark style right now.
And imo, a lot of the charm of FF6 came from it's pixel styled graphics, which is why HD-2D games are being praised on the first place
Even tough FF6 in 3D and same style of FF7 would be good... do you really want it to be that way? being cut off into different parts, extremely heavy game, took a long time to develop, etc. If anything a 3D FF remake should be focused on the PS1 games rather than SNES
@@RTheStoryteller7 Actually no, I want a 6 remake to be done in the same style that Radiant Historia's remake was, where it keeps more or less the same graphics as the original, adds voice acting, tightens up some story beats, adds more content, etc.

We never got another on wii, I think it would be cool to race in air ride and such with motion control-as long as itâs optional of course! Itâs optional for Mario Kart so itâs not like you have to but you have it as an option
Also I just think it was a cool game, I wasnât crazy about city trial but Iâm sure others liked it
But the races (and the phenomenal music omg) were fun and I liked wandering around in the freebie mode
I really hope we get a port/remaster/remake and/or a sequel on Switch!
Also just having it portable and TV is also an exciting prospect!

Itâs kinda possible that you can still use the Alear FE Engage Protagonist He/Herâs Special Ring to summon Classic/Latest Modern Recent FE Heroes and Iâm sure this might be the biggest 1st-Party Nintendo game that Iâll like for Next Year In 2023.

I'm guessing the Mario Movie will have its own direct either later this month or in October. I don't know for sure about a trailer but at the very least, I'd expect a teaser then. I highly doubt that they'll wait until the Game Awards just to show anything from it since Illumination typically, from what I understand, releases trailers in the fall

In my case I found myself enjoying this direct! Of course not everyone is gonna like this with all the farming games shown but with some of the others shown Iâm hyped up!
You know, it's funny. If you want better visuals, the XGP version is the way to go. But if you want to play online, the NSO version is.
Just downloaded octopath traveler on my Xbox, Iâll definitely play through it now that I know itâs getting a sequel
