I started running my pointers down the side of the grip... feels way more stable and comfortable. The way you suggest just feels very unstable in my hands. Will keep trying!

What I've been doing.. is not caring as much for putts. I just read the slope as best as I can and I just hit it softly. I don't line it up or anything. I'm very very lose about it. Just go up to the ball and hit it. For me... it's been working out so well
I switched to this grip, and started using a 2Thumbs wide grip. Broke 90 for the first time ever after flirting with 92, 94, 96 scores all summer. Much easier to stroke the ball and reduced the arc that was creeping into my swing.
This grip is just about the same as the "Prayer Grip". Good for symmetry and relaxation of arms' feel, but in my opinion, by having both hands at the same point of contact you create more of a pivot therefore diminishing overall surface grip to something lesser. The most typical and best is the "Standard Grip". By separating your hands, you cover the most surface area of the club grip therefore increasing control.
I've done my own version years ago. It was easier to hit a straight stroke, but my disntace control wasn't as good especially at some distance like 20+ feet. Standard putting grip that tiger and many others use is the best for me
I used this last practice round . I suck at putting and I felt more confident and controlled when rolling 10 ft and in puts .. I love it . Will continue to practice and take to next round
I was taught this grip by Professional Bill McWilliam at Royal Selangor Golf Club, Malaysia, in 1985..... It was a putting drill where I would grip it in this " recent trending Japanese" grip and push the ball to the hole, with no backswing.
Whatever grip you grew up using as a kid. That's the grip you should use. When we're kids we putt with no fear and make lots of putts. Why do we ever change?

Tried it last week after watching a video about it!!! Zero three putts all game!! My friends noticed a huge difference too!

Agree with you. Except.. just hit it softly. You cant hit all putts 'softly'
Me too lol i putt way better when I just walk up and hit it basically. Takes out the mental aspect of it.

Use any grip but turn your lead shoulder inwards and that will help you from rolling over and pulling the putt leftwards
Ive using a neutral two thumb grip for probably 10 years. By far the best for me. It turns your arms into much more of a pendulum.

It's actually pretty good, by no means am I a good golfer but this grip helped with my overall putting performance

Gonna give this a shot. Played yesterday and shot 98. Going back today after church see if can’t improve. Far from great, my best is 94 lol
Turn to Satan, and he'll help you lower your score, especially since you'll be able to play more while skipping church.

I use an armlock putter, dont have these issues
Just tried and it feels pretty good haven't putted yet so the jury is still out.
The problem though, is it creates a bit of a lag for me, so no good.

You overlapped your hands wrong. The 3 fingers on your lead hand sit on top of the two fingers in your trail hand.

Why is this a "Japanese grip"? This came naturally after I first used the Super Stroke large Flatso grips. Anyway, it works.

Not comfortable with a standard diameter grip.
No thank you. I have a normal shaft grip and not going to a soft oversize putter grip. You lose all feel for the stroke with those large shaft grips.

I do something similar. I call it a triple overlap, right over left. Thumbs are almost level with each other. This looks interesting, though.
