I enjoy the tool making videos. I’ve purchased my first mortise lever lock. Lever locks are rare now in the US, however they are /were used up until the late 40’s houses. Thanks again for your efforts on CZcams
I love watching your videos of how to make tools out of everyday items its making me more interested in doing some as well as buying the more complex tools so yes please keep them coming 👍👏
The way you explain things takes all the mystery out of some tools you need to get you started in picking and the tools are not cheap which can put future members off so yes do carry on with the videos 🙂 let's get more pickers..... Stay safe buddy.. Robbie from Huyton Liverpool UK
Awesome job, I’ll have to try making some myself. I’ve never picked lever locks before, but when I get some I’ll definitely try with some homemade tools
michael jenkins, yes tools are expensive and if you can make your own you save £££s, also you get a better buzz when you open locks with stuff you made yourself, it’s all win win 👍👍
I absolutely love it. And the final product looks amazing. I know you said you don't sell them, but you should. For me I understood what you did, but Im sure someone would benefit from showing it, in more detail. 🔓👍🔓👍
this was exact kinda thing i was asking about the other day! perfect-and with stuff i think i have!! ps-that's the first lever i've seen picked in hand. bravo!!
@@BrummieLockPicker I've not had it out the box yet except to do an unboxing vid, not sure whether to pick it on video or on a livestream either as it's kind of a challenge lock vibe
Brilliant work, I absolutely love the tools, considering I paid a fortune for mine and still can't use them! I would love to see the videos of you making the tools. If you want some help in selling them let me know? Once things get back to normality, we should all arrange to meet up. I know there is a lock picking club in Digbeth once a month, if anyone is interested let me know 👍
That’s great thanks, I’ll be studying these! 🤓 I found the hex brass that you use on some of your videos on Amazon, so I’ll get some to play with using it for a body as well as a lock core which I’ll be experimenting with. Do you have anywhere you recommend to buy key blanks from to file down for tensioners, or any advice on the most useful type/brand etc of tensioning key please? Am I right in thinking 5 and 7 gauge keys are the most useful and versatile to file down and that steel rather than brass is better as it’s stronger however it’s more difficult to work with than brass. I think I’ll have to go with brass keys ultimately I haven’t decided yet, due to a lack of metal working equipment, although I do have hand tools. Cheers 🍻 for any advice you can share 🤓👍🏻
I use old keys never actually brought any blanks, Steel is stronger but Brass is plenty strong enough, easy to file and looks better. Mortice locks are either 5 or 7 gauge so if you get one of each key and file them done you’ll be sorted 👍
I definitely want to see how they are made because its all part of the fun and I'm sure it will inspire others to have a go, and maybe some new ideas will arise from it ;-)
@@BrummieLockPicker yeah, I noticed the date after I commented on it. Glad you got you garage sorted. Normally takes me a couple of years to clean mine out anyway lol
Totally love to see how the tools are made . That info is priceless and for beginners its essential as cash is not that plenty-full for someone starting to learn the game wile unemployed . If nothing else that could even get you laid by some hot chick who lost her keys She would think your a magician .
I locked my spare bedroom door with a key then it would not open with the same key. I can`t find the original key so looks like I will be trying out your technics. Thanks for posting you clever man you ioi
