How to Make a Stylish Ash Wood Chair: Step-by-Step BAR STOOL.

In this video, I'll demonstrate how to make a chair. For this project, I'll be using ash wood that I previously cut on the Felder band saw in one of my previous videos. First, I'll create plywood templates. Making plywood templates is a crucial step in the project realization process as they allow visualizing the final object or detail before actual manufacturing begins. This helps identify potential issues, make adjustments, and refine the design early on, ultimately saving time and costs. Plywood templates can also be used to check the dimensions and proportions of the furniture. Then, I'll move on to cutting the ash wood on the circular saw. For sanding, I used both hand sanders and stationary ones such as drum sanders and belt sanders. For joining the parts, I chose the Domino from Festool, as it provides strong and precise connections. As for the finish, I applied Osmo oil-wax.

@@WOODDESIGN6730 A very nice, 👍🏻 great project , I have been looking 👀 at making hi Sam, Maloof music store, and I have the plans to make one of his rocking chairs, which I’m hoping to start work on later this year, hopefully I’ve got enough boards of Ash , to do the projects, At present, I’m trying to build/ lay a floor for my workshop, as I am restricted on space I do have a reasonable size basement, but there’s not enough room to swing a cat, I wouldn’t do that any case, Like you, I had a very very large workshop many years ago, when I had my own business as suspicious joiner, carpenter cabinet maker back in the UK, One of those things size of workshop does matter, stay safe keep up the great work. Nice, simple and rapid-to-make design, but the grains and colors? I know from own experience it takes time and/or it's impossible to chose/collect the exact right wood for a project like a chair/table/bed, which is 100x more complicated compared to a cabinet or any object you can 'hide' the corners/transitions. I suspect in this project that it was only these pieces of ash you had available. Maybe I had chosen to stain the chair before oiling/waxing. That way at least the differences in colors would have 'melted together'. But hey, maybe some like it this way as it's obvious that the chair is made from solid wood - and sturdy as steel. Anyways, good job, bless your motherland and hopefully one day we all be free.
