Beautiful. Even though the end result looks relatively simple, I feel like this build was way more technically complicated than some of the much large cabinets or tables Ishitani has made before.

I just finished making a couple folding chairs, (they’re different than yours, mine are mechanically similar to vintage aluminum lawn chairs). The build was much more challenging than I thought when I started, ….with lots of tight tolerances to make things look right, and fit, and work.

The craftsmanship is outstanding - as always, though my back already hurts from seeing that one bar across for the chair's back. Love the folding mechanism with the stops for the back integrated into the chair's seat rear cross-brace. Very elegant!
