Arthur is the oldest and the braun but he's not the smartest and they all knew Tommy was the brains, they mention this in the scene where Arthur's fucked up in the basement from heroin at Tommy's house, and how Arthur let him win the fight so he'd gain confidence and step up to the plate... He was also a changed man after France so the smiles and laughter stopped. Before then I'm sure he was a bit softer with everyone and probably shared the responsibility a bit more with the brothers.
Ughh I always loved how surprisingly nice and polite Tommy is to everyone. I mean until they cross him😂

The writers messed up with that one. The famous song, "Teddy Bear's Picnic" was written in 1907 but the lyrics weren't added until 1932.

Of course, if Michael had wanted to annoy Arthur, he could have played dumb and made Arthur explain what a Teddy Bears' Picnic was, and how he knew about them. 😂

it's because the war forced them into exetreme discipline with hunger. they do not feel the need to eat unless necessary. they are goal oriented. eating is something you do after the job is done. they are pleasant about it because it's a simple thing in life. it's something they would love to have normally, IF they were normal. but noone is normal anymore. PTSD has straight fucked their heads. they see this as unnecessary. like a father sitting playing tea time with daughter.

I grew up in the suburbs, but I remember moving to the hood and everyone being very skeptical of me and my niceness and thinking it was a ploy, until they got to know me, then you could see them wash off all the years of mistrust and just be themselves and joke around and laugh when they wouldn't even crack a smile when I first met them, one of the best sights ever. Really wish the world didn't suck for so many people.
