Served with a guy stationed in South Korea near the DMZ. He said he would hear explosions within the DMZ almost nightly. Turned out it was because North Korean soldiers would step on the mines while trying to find food.

That is not heartbreaking those North Korean civilians are healthy because they eat less (not overeating like Americans do). When you eat a lot (gluttony) you get sick due to complications with the health. Jesus told me that they are *really* healthy. Plus the food (and water) they eat is safer whereas the food and water in America is toxic. Jesus says gluttony is sin that's why you get more plagues for those that eat a lot. Kim Jung Un is losing weight as well.

We watch black & white footage of the Nazi concentration camps, say "never again," and think ourselves virtuous and enlightened. Exactly the same thing continues in North Korea as we do so. I think the only reason the likes of NATO can't storm north Korea is the chinese, they would instantly jump into the fight or if Kim Jong un sided with the west or was deposed China would annex north Korea like Russia did with the Crimea. The Chinese know the west would have them in chek mate if north Korea fell. The whole situation is a crying shame.

But the CCP is expansionist and bellicose, and are running their "100-Year Marathon."
That said, the biggest single thing preventing a military elimination of the regime is the fact that Seoul is in range of massive DPRK conventional artillery. Then there is the nuclear, biological and chemical factor. Effectively, the Kims have had a "gun to the head" of the civilian population of Seoul for a long time. However, I have to believe that there is a major "paper tiger" factor with regard to the DPRK military, and that most of those DPRK forces could probably be neutralized very quickly. But you're right that China is key. They keep the regime alive, literally.
On a related but separate subject, the greatest threat to world peace now operative is the CCP.

To put the height of the soldiers into perspective, my youngest in gr 3 was 4 feet 9 inches tall....he is now in gr 11 and five feet 11 inches.
So my 8 year old was 3 inches taller than a grown North Korean man.
I am a five foot 4 woman this is absolutely mind boggling to me.

This is reminding me of a documentary from Iraq where ground soldiers(not the elite) were happy the Saddam was toppled because they could barely buy ration with their salary. I am guessing lots of foot soldiers in NK might be thinking the same

I saw a tourist's video where he was just walking down the street in a city and every time he passed grassy areas, you could see between 3-8 people picking the grass and filling bags. They seemed to be even looking for specific blades, I guess some are 'better' than others. Just heartbreaking.

My sister has no working kidneys and she tells me how hard my life has been. I think hers has been harder but the thing is...someone else's life being hard doesn't make yours less hard. Paying rent is a real concern. Im out of work and I have a 6yr old special needs child. I'm worried about Dec rent. Not paying rent means we lose our home and there are no other homes. We are in a major housing crisis. People do go hungry in our country as well. Knowing that Nkoreans are hungry doesn't make them less hungry. Food, shelter, and water are basic necessities and should be a human right for everyone on the plant. There is plenty to go around. It's greed.

I remember hearing a story by a NK defector who said her biggest dream in life was to be able to eat a fried egg with rice three times per day.
She said she thought China was heaven because in China she could eat egg with rice every day.
It’s like wow..they don’t ask for hardly anything and they don’t even get the little they want.

I'm glad that you say this is a modern day holocaust. I've been fascinated with North Korea since college.... not in a good way, but just trying to figure out how things work and how people survive. It always baffled me when people said we need to make sure that things like concentration camps never happen again, when they exist in North Korea. I've heard testimonies of people that have survived those camps, and it's inhuman. People say never again, but ignore what's happening now in North Korea. 💔

I agree with you 100% I too have been blessed by her videos and often think of the people of N. Korea when I throw food out or when I'm feeling sorry for myself because I'm broke. I never have to go to bed hungry I have everything I need. 🙏

She does know nothing . Everything she says either are made up, or she gets from somewhere else. She mostly reads, copies and collects these "news", rumours, fabrications and lies from internet, US backed Radio Free Asia,Daily Mail and South Korean conservative/anti-N. Korean newspapers (Dong-A Ilbo,Chosun Ilbo, Donga Ilbo, Munhwa Ilbo and Segye Ilbo South ). All of these have been criticized for spreading false news and rumours with no evidence. They've been proven wrong countless times before and have never apologized.
And then she, with a large portion of additional hoaxes, integrates them into her own fake stories & narratives! She pretends & presents these rumours and fabrications as facts , and as if they are info. about factual events passing to her from her own connections.
She steals or copies/ "appropriating elements from other grifters' escape stories" !! Even her book reads almost identical to Hyeonseo Lee's book! She had some major inconsistencies in her tellings and some things she said were just completely illogical and then I realized that she just copied it out of Geroge Orwells 1984 and animal farm or the movie Red Sparrow.

The lady found out it's not necessary to acquire some payable skill, all she has to do is open her mouth and start babbling some random shit about NK as if she knows something firsthand. I mean who is she to talk about the matters touched upon in the video? All she does is reciting rumours from the internet, what credibility does it add that some time ago she lived in the country?
She lies constantly,90% time. She keeps making up/exaggerating narratives in order to peddle to this audience of conservative Americans , and isn’t the way to go about it. There are things that either contradict or just don’t make sense. Unless she is a close acquaintance of top military officials, there’s no way that ordinary news or gossip could’ve made you privy to such details.
She makes a lot of money making up shit like this for westerners to drink. The lady behind this CZcams channel has changed her story multiple times. The more horrific the story, the more she gets paid. Yes there are many bleeding hearts trying to extract sympathy and ultimately money from the public through lies. I am afraid that the internet has given these unscrupulous leeches a platform in which to work their dirty scams and that can only grow.
It's pretty much 100% proven she's mouthpiece for far-right think tanks. She lives in the US. Her whole career and fame is centered around continuing to produce new sensational stories about NK so she makes stuff up.
