Really disappointing we get less than 2 min. of highlights when almost 80 riders competed. I understand this is sport isn’t Formula 1 popular but, come on it still has thousands of passionate fans. Plus the more you show of the competitiveness of the sport the more fans it will attract and keep the sport going and grow. I know you all can do better!
UCI give NOT one jot about our sport. They seem to feel that bmx and road cycling is more worthy than MTB! The state of the edit proves it, I mean, just take a look at their yt edits from the other pursuits! #wedontneedUCI
The sport will not grow when fans are forced to pay for watching. I love the sport and I was so disappointed but I’m not willing to pay for it since RedBull was able to make a better broadcast for free
All due to money and broadcast rights.
I wish the UCI never got involved with MTB. I wish the riders would just ignore the UCI, and do their own thing like Red Bull events, etc.
I suppose the allure of a rainbow jersey is too much for MTB riders; can't blame them.
I look at UCI XC biking and it just looks so lame. I understand the amount of athleticism, but to me, MTB is about freedom, expression and not following rules.

UCI,you can see from.tjese comments what you are doing is unacceptable. Review your position on broadcasting and make the sport better for the teams,riders and fans.
You have no issue doing it for road races.
They should go back and read their own mission statement.
This highlight reel is not just bad, it's disrespectful to all the riders, teams and sponsors that have put so much into the sport for so many years. Andrew Neethling did well to pull up the level of commentary.
I hope someone that has the power to make decisions actually reads these comments. You are killing the sport.

I woke up excited to watch this race only to find it is not available. I subscribed to GCN+ because I will pay to watch the full race. It is not there; it is not anywhere I can watch. If you don't want it, then let Redbull have it back. We would get Rob Warner back then as well. Beyond Angry at this point.

I agree very deceiving. Literally the most important race of the year and a bunch of retired roadies are calling the shots for mtb. Dont get me wrong. I still love all those roadies but wtf! Grain of salt… also I know pro and avg cyclists, none of them watch GCN especially mtbrs, why are they so involved in streaming our sport?

I miss when I could watch DH races. This aint it chief.
No good information on now to view before event. Found a link after searching that brought me to a CZcams UCI broadcast that got turned to private mid way through women’s race. Paid for GCN membership to watch MTB racing and can’t view the biggest race of the year there from US. I just had a blank page with no viewing information. Tired with VPN and that didn’t work either. Been a huge fan for years even when we could only read magazines and wait for vhs recap tape of the season. Shouldn’t be this hard to watch a sport I love these days. Guess I should be counting the days till the UCI finally kills it with poor management. Thanks for nothing!
Also the presentation of the event was terrible. 1 minute intervals are fine for the slower riders but when we get to top 10 women and top 20 men we should get a bigger interval to see more of the run. Commentary by Needles was good but the rest are terrible.
The end of downhill racing is upon us. No company wants to put money into racing DH when this is the coverage. Send it back to redbull

A minute and a half of highlights for the downhill world champs but we get 30 minute highlight shows for every round of edr… makes sense

Why do we not get to watch the most exciting race of the year? We're already paying for it.
Stream going private midway through the woman’s race and then never coming back up and then we get a 109 second video that shows tiny clips from 4 riders? This is embarrassing for a professional organisation. You’ll have great long videos for road cycling which is boring but this tiny video downhill.

Every year the same comments “make the sport free to air”. Every year the UCI selling the right to the highest bids and not reinvesting.
The allure and excitement Red bull brought to downhill, is lost now with UCI taking over! I'm going to watch skateboarding which provides free full events.
They are flat out removing comments as well, mine was removed along with many others
are 8 hours street races or velodrome etc. every day more important than 5 h of Downhill ????????????? NOOOOOO.!

The direction lacks of close and good angled footage from the top track! Definitely the most gnarly section, fast, rocky, tricky. Berms and motorway was boring to watch, hopefully we had 30 sec of tech wood...
Went from the best highlight reels of any sport I've ever seen (Redbull) to some of the worst. I don't want to pile on to the long list of people complaining, but what an absolutely horrific degradation in effort.
UCI coverage is a real disservice to the sport.

Look at the Downhill Southeast coverage as an example of what can be done on a small budget. There seems to be little other than complaints about the UCI generally so hopefully other organisations events will continue to grow. Crankworx, Hardline, and the Urban Downhill stuff which Red Bull still has seem to still be popular and showcasing riders who might not have the support and budget to travel the world in very disjointed fashion.
So sad we can't even watch uci dh live for free anymore. Even highlights are terrible. Bring back Redbull and Rob!

A joke alright. In NZ have to join Sky who don't even advertise it and even if they did it's such a rip off why would you for one race. GCN+ ok at best for the WC but at least reasonable for the whole season, except this race of coarse. Make it reasonable and get some commentators that are half decent and the sport will grow and then you can make the returns you are clearly so focused on and I'm betting missing out on optimising.
What a joke, I get 10 minutes of Rugby highlights for goodness sake.
