Today I am going to present to you a very commonly used herb, it is there everywhere, grows easily, it is a 5-6 feet plant, name is Vaasa- Adulsa-Adhatoda vasika it is a very useful herb.
What happens, is when you get cold, cough, there is a lot of mucus inside and in children what happens is that it doesn’t come out easily and the elderly people also, the mucus becomes thick and sticky and sits inside, doesn’t come out easily. For that this is an ideal remedy.
What happens in this is, this herb is usually present in all cold-cough syrups. What part is used, the leaves, the juice form the leaves, one can even use the white flowers of Adulsa for additional benefit. But to take out juice from this plant is difficult. Adulsa is very beneficial for the lungs, and one specialty of this herb is that as it melts the mucus, you may think this herb might be that producing , no contrary to that it is a cooling herb. This is a very amazing quality of Adulsa.
How to take out the juice from this herb? We need to steam the leaves, and then crush them to make a paste and then the juice comes out. Two teaspoons of the juice of the leaves, one teaspoon honey and a pinch of the herb Pippali- Piper longum powder, this herb is a little pungent, this mixture is to be mixed and licked a little at a time, not to eat the entire mixture in one go.
Anyway no one eat it a lot as it is bitter. We have made an excellent powder, Formula K 2, ideal for the cough and cold in the present pandemic and also for the entire year. Yet people phone and say Doctor, this medicine is so bitter, we reply that though it is bitter in taste it is very sweet in its healing effect. You will be saved from all these diseases, these bitter herbs, keep in mind that they work fantastic, so Adulsa is bitter, but we have also added honey to make it more palatable. Thus it will be effective.
Thos who cant sleep in the night, they wake up with bouts of coughing and when they try to spit out the mucus, nothing comes, when this herb is taken for 4-5 days, you will easily find the Adulsa leaves, if there is a garden nearby, ask the owner and take this medicine and you will feel much better and quieter. Amongst the home herbal medicines, this is a very effective and wonderful remedy, try it out and get rid of the problems of cough and cold and be relaxed.
