Good review, but darn expensive for sure. And a real niche market. I think economies of scale could help with dropping the price of these, and it seems companies at this moment are just trying to recoup their investments and make some income so they can survive. But in my opinion , currently pricing is way beyond the reach of MOST people who will even attempt to foil , those people being anyone who does wing ,wind, or kite foil or even the air chair behind a power boat. Add to that small amount of adventurist people who do none of those sports but are willing to take the chance of something new and novel . Looking at a unknown called the manta foil. I bought a foil inflatable and wing from this company , they have an efoil at the lower end of the spectrum. Drop shipping was from China where i gather most of this stuff here reviewed is made. Seems even the big manufactuers of windsurfers , kites ,foils, inflatables even mountain bikes make their stuff in China.
prices will definitely come down. even Lift says they make only 6 or so boards a day since there is such a large manual component to the manufacture. there will be a submarket for lower priced boards whereas premium ones will remain in demand. so if BTC ever goes to 6 figures - definitely getting one.

The average mountain bike today (with no motor) and medium grade components is about $6900 - $8000 so these are on par with mountain bikes, slightly higher but comparable to excellently specâd mountain bikes. Now, buying one of these and a new mountain bike every few years, now youâre talking expensive.
