    Just got out there for the third time today and finally stood up! I got the Elite Pro board with the more advanced wings. I have been surfing and wakeboarding for about 18 years. Boy was it rough learning this thing as first. The third time out I finally started foiling and controlling the board. This is by far the best water experience I have ever had. Wakeboarding, Wakesurfing, Tubing, Knee Boarding dont compare at all. If you are a former surfer with great experience, this board is going to be amazing for you.

    Coach Rolando: Wow! That Ultra L / Nano setup looks really, really fast, but really, really SMALL! I think I'd like a little more board under me for cross-channel flights from Maui to a couple of the closer neighbor islands, even though, say for example, a Fliteboard Fiberglass Pro is heavier. I'd love to experiment w/ the Fiberglass Pro and the 80 cm mast, though, just to see what you meant by the difference in height while in flight. I know this setup you are showing has a very high advantage of superior performance in exchange for lighter weight considerations, so a strong salute to that! Happy to see that your L knee is healing well & that there have been no setbacks since you are being careful w/ it. And, of course, I am always glad to see you happily cruising along at high speed! Just so that we have a review of it on CZcams, would you do a review of the Scooter setup that Fliteboard introduced this year? Aloha & Mahalo! Robby

    • @Fliteboard
      @Fliteboard  Před 5 lety +14

      A lot of the cost is in the battery and hopefully battery prices drop as lithium supply increases. A lot of the other costs are the cost of hand made carbon fibre work, which hasn't really reduced much in price over the past decade. Our board itself is much more complex to make than a high-end SUP or Sailboard but is about the same price (for the board only).

    Great concept but there are just as many spearfishermen that would love the capability, it does not need to ride high, make it a little wider and longer, with front compartment
    for small valuables, eyelid for anchor rope, straps and tie downs for gear. We just need to get from A to B fast and not kick ourselves to exhaustion before we get on our
    spot and back to the beach.

      javier molinero it’s an incorrect assumption that the propellor will hit marine life. It’s not something we’ve experienced. And of course a boat propeller would be much worse then our small plastic, guarded propeller that is situated behind the mast and wing, both of which are not sharp.

    So is there a way to build something on it that's safer for the propeller so it won't cut feet or Marine animals?

      The propellor has a safety duct, and even without this marine life gets well out of the way. It is situated behind the front wing and the mast and its hard for things to hit the propellor.

      The seals and motor shaft get hot as they are not cooled from the water.

    Ok, I am brand spanking new here. Several comments. As others here have commented, they are right, 12,000 is way too much and you will be forced to deal with that fact just as soon a your first imitator puts their first product on the market for 1500. Stay ahead of them though by doing two things. First, make that foot pad your rider stands on a solar panel so you can ride that thing all day on your way to the Bahamas. Second, put an emergency GPS signal on it so -you know. Ideally, I'd like to see a 50 cal mounted on the front. We good?
