Ellen doesn't do well with scary games, but she wants to be brave enough to properly join in this year. I really hope (for our sake, definitely not Ellen's) that this will be brought back next year. It was loads of fun to watch and massive props to Ellen for actually doing it. They say bravery is not a lack of fear, but persevering despite the fear, and you definitely did that!

@@fatzmcgee, Andy being the most ruthless is rather odd, though, since he doesn't do so well when he's the one on the controls. If it's a game he's played before, I can see it (he knows where the Spookingtons live), but if it's a blind playthrough, he's the most scared.
Well, either that or he's a *phenomenal* actor.

Well, her 'fear academy' went all month, so it's more like weeping for 4 weeks (then *really* weeping in the last 2 weeks 😥)

Andy in this is the perfect emodiment of a 400-level university professor who is super chill/snarky with students but also dishes out extremely hard assignments, yet his students still perform really well and enjoy the class a lot. A fitting professor for Ellen's final class in Fear Academy!

And coupled with seeing/hearing something happen, I freak out momentarily
20 minutes in. Got so freaked out that I jumped when our upstairs neighbors watered their balcony plants and the water sprayed down to our balcony. Gonna need a quick break to drop my heart rate.
The difference between observation Andy and gaming Andy is marked. Are we sure this isn't some kind of Andy replicant that Jane has made?

I'm exactly the same as Andy, it's the immersion of games that make horror games unplayable for me but I'll laugh out loud if it's horror movies or someone else playing the games.

At least Ellen has definitely beaten Andy's time to finish this game, by about three years

I'm a little conflicted about who is the most helpful but also entertaining person in the observation chamber.
Luke had some empathy, Mike is scared of nothing and reminded Ellen of how to play the game, Jane could not be bothered by anything and Andy as a fellow scaredy cat had the best narration of what was going on on screen (Ellen in sheer terror for 2 hours straight).
All in all this has been my favorite new segment.
What do you guys think?
Luke and Mike were probably the most helpful especially Luke during Dead Space since he guided her and make her laugh too when he reassured her with a mouthful of jammy dodger 😂🤣😂🤣😂. But most entertaining was Jane followed by Andy with how real older sibling like ‘helpful’ they were 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣

It worked! I heard her say it! Cool as a cucumber. Stone cold. She said she is not scared anymore. With mad conviction in her voice, so we know it is the truth she speaks. I declare this experiment a success. Today it is Ellen who has sprouted the most chest hair. Very impressive. Carry on.

I've cracked. Everything in me has broken, and today is the day I realized. As I watch Ellen, right now on my TV as I type this, she is suffering in terror from things that are actively causing me the same terror, and from this, I am extracting joy, and my grin could put Joker's scars to shame. What once was no longer is.
