I love how in the beginning Ellen emphasizes how hard it is to get Tier 1 villagers and then later on proceeds to pull out the #1 and #3 ranked villagers in the entire game. This ellening was savage indeed! Luke never had a chance!

The real lesson is that ranks and social status are garbage, and your villagers are awesome.
This isn't how good they are it's how much people are willing to give you for them. If you love them you wouldn't want to sell them and give them up anyways so who cares.
I has seen a couple of reddit posts about the subject but I didn't oau them any mind. I love my villagers. Though I do find it funny that Ellen hates Apple, because she was one of my first villagers and I absolutely adore her and buy her presents almost every day.

The best thing about Elmer's glue is their icon/mascot is a cow.
Actually Elmer is a bull, Elsie is the Borden's milk mascot.

Elmer's Glue used to be made with milk casein, hence the bovine mascot.
In retrospect, a cow would have been the better idea since the glue used to be milk-based. Insinuating the glue was provided by a bull brings up some uncomfortable ideas.

Every time i watch this i watch that moment like a hawk for the subtle earth shattering hilarity.
We all completely misinterpreted this contest. If the tier list measures how desirable the various villagers are among a voting population, that would make Luke's villagers uncommon choices, perhaps even avant-garde.
Conversely, Ellen's villagers are more in line with the likes of the population at large. They are mainstream. Some might even consider using the word "basic". Not me, obviously, because I still consider breathing a valuable and enriching experience.
Underrated comment of the month right there ^_^ I regret that I have but one thumb to give.

A lot of funny moments overshadowed this, but I think Luke placing Bluebear at the top is the absolute sweetest, putting all his streams and tweets about her into context.

Watching this after all this time it still strikes me that Ellen beat Luke despite Luke loving his entire island and Ellen hating half her villagers.
So who was the real victor?...Well, Ellen, but Luke gets moral victory
This is honestly my favorite Oxboxtra Video. I watched it live and watch it any time in the year I'm having a rough time because the horrible audio issues make me laugh until I cry. It doesn't hurt that the actual video is absolutely great.
That beginning was odd. It sounded like someone spawned in a bunch of Ellen, Luke, and Andy's and they all started doing their set voice lines.

I've probably rewatched this stream a dozen times in the last two years, and Andy's takedown of Marshall that 'his dad's a big wheel at KPMG' is still one of the funniest things I've ever seen on the channel.
The hamster situation is clearly an example of convergent evolution, they had the same ancestor and evolved to adapt to different niches, like humans and chimps for example 💡

I wish I could have seen the team's reactions when they first replayed the stream and experienced what we all went through. It reminded me of a nightmare from my childhood in a strangely comforting way.

I'm sad, casue she was one of my starters and my favorite for a long while, but I promised myself I'd let any and all villagers that wanted to move, move. Cause I want to see as many of the villagers as I can and have as many friends as possible and keep my island interesting. But I love her and I'm gonna miss her so much.

But I'm happy to see some of my favourites are ranked highly with Beau, Bob, and Dom. But I really like my Cranky villager who is one of my lowers 'valued' and that's Curt

Luke: I love all my villagers equally (except Robin). I would cry if any of them left, they have brought me past my prejudices and have taught me to look past exteriors. They may not be great, but they're perfect to me.
Ellen: I've used this spreadsheet to numerically document my relationships with each villager, accounting for all grudges, petty squabbles, and misinterpreted gestures. I post rankings outside my house daily so that everyone knows where they stand, and that they should do better.
