Autodesk Flex Licensing (Tokens) Explanation and Review

- In this video I explain Autodesk’s new Flex licensing model. This is optional licensing model based on ‘Pay as You Go’ principle. It means that you can purchase Autodesk tokens and each day you use Autodesk’s software, you pay with these tokens for the usage. This might be useful for some companies but totally irrelevant to others. I take a look at break even points of Felex licensing for Revit, AutoCAD, Inventor, Fusion 360 and 3DS Max.

Man all i can say is i miss owning stuff. 😢 at this point even 100k for a single seat perpetual license with no updates is cheaper on the long run.

Hi Filipe. Even if you open it for 5 minutes, it counts as one day.
@@BIMforInteriorDesign really? I understood that the timer activates every 24h. So you could stop at 8 h then next day at 8h so on and so forth.
@@trowawayacc Yes, when you start at 8AM, you can use the software until 8AM the next day. You will spend tokens for 1 day of use this way.
