What is the difference between targeting blue crab vs. stone crab? Is there different bait to use or different locations to set the traps to target Stone as opposed to Blue crab?

Beginner here so no pro- but there seems to be no difference. I put my two traps out last week for 1st time targeting blue crabs. Caught only one blue and about 15 stone crabs. Had to throw them back as they're not in season yet here in FL. I use the wire type trap baited with practically any meat.
