Dyeing my hair pastel purple / lavender with Girls Night

- ► I'm obsessed with pastel hair colors and one of my favorites I've had so far is lavender, so I thought it would be fun to bring that back! Last time, I mixed two colors and conditioner but this time I tried out Arctic Fox's Girls Night straight onto my platinum blonde hair because it's already a beautiful lavender/pastel purple shade on it's own!

I love girls night. I use it every time after I bleach my roots/tone. It's basically become my toner because the week after it rinses it's a perfect shade of ice white.

I actually did Girls Night last week and fell in love with it. There was some yellow in the back, but I think it helped toned it a bit. My hair was white from Manic Panic’s Virgin Snow and I did purple shampoo and conditioner for extra whiteness, so it was the perfect canvas to go lavender especially since it was Easter Sunday that weekend!💜

So adorable!!! Exactly what I’m looking for. I tried this same thing, but with the shade Periwinkle. Sadly it didn’t take very well on my new growth after I bleached it :( so the color was mainly on my ends, and ended up blue. But I’m definitely going to try this color next!!

Just dyed my hair this color over the weekend! I went to the salon the other day to tone my hair to a lighter blonde color. I had to do my roots anyway and I didn’t get the blonde I wanted after I toned it so hopefully this lavender color will help tone it as soon as it fades to help me achieve that white/platinum color I wanted in the first place lol

How do you get all the color out of your hair when you your going to retouch it or put another color, do you bleach bathe the whole thing or really let it fade out that much?
I usually just let it fade and if my next color is similar enough, I just dye right over it. Sometimes if I want a completely new color, I'll do a bleach bath!

What do you usually wash your hair w?? Looks so healthy!!!!
Thanks!! I usually wash my hair with some type of silicone free shampoo or shampoo and conditioners that are meant for colored hair. I switch it up all the time so I don’t have a specific one I stick to.

Hi, I know you did this a while ago but I have a question for you my hair, is grey & black and I will be calling it platinum.
What platinum do you recommend so then I can color it lavender.

I like to make sure my hair turns out completely lavender after.
Have you ever notice the colour run when you sweat e.g. exercising alot... I'm trying to find a brand or colour I can use that doesn't run when I sweat, I train martial arts and we wear white gis... I used manic panic to do a bright pink and left a trail of colour in my wake 😬😬
I’ve never had that issue with the brands I use! But I also only do pastels, so that could be why

So for me it really depends on how often I'm washing my hair. I've had it fade in like 2 weeks because I was going to the pool a lot but I've also had it last over a month for me by only washing it once a week!

No, it actually faded into a light pink and then back to blonde!

No, this color probably wouldn't show up as much on darker hair because it's too light. You would have to either lighten you hair more or make the color slightly darker so that it shows up!

My hair's almost the same color as yours, what should I do if I want it a little more pastel? Should I mix a portion of it with conditioner?
Arctic Fox also has a white/dilute. It's called Arctic Mist Diluter. You should be able to mix it in with your purple to lighten it.
Yes, either the diluter or white conditioner will work to make it more pastel! I just wouldn't make it too light or else it might just tone your hair and not actually look lavender at all
So you said you didn’t dilute it but it does look diluted once you apply it… 🤔
I turned on the ceiling light after pouring it in the bowl, therefore, making it look lighter. You can see the whole room looks brighter. I have no reason to secretly dilute my hair dye.

When I first dyed my virgin brown hair, I had to dye it twice with 30 vol developer. Now I just dye my roots once with 30vol but I wrap my head with aluminum foil to trap the heat and help it lighten more. That’s pretty much it; I don’t even tone it but that can definitely help too!

Yes! And it actually tones the hair, so it fades back to a nice ashy blonde
