We say that oil is the death of lashes, which means we should never be treating our oily clients the same as our normal to dry ones and complain when they complain about retention issues!
It's OUR FAULT! Are you warning them that they need to take EXTRA care of their lashes? Are you talking to them about extra cleasning?? Are you even telling them that their fans close due to the oil on their skin therefore, causing the lashes to look spars?
Lets educate our selves so we can better serve our clients! Let me know what your fave tip was!

One of clients is super oily skin
I thought she had some oil skincare products.but after we talked,her skin is oily. I tried lash bath and premier. Didn’t realized her eyelid is extremely oily .
And my hand sometimes touched her skin. Then accidentally touched lashes. I need do the cleaning work again.
I found i need to clean the eyelid and be mindful not touch her skin.😂
I have REALLY oily eyelids. Is it okay to wash my eyelash extensions twice a day? I like to clean my face and eyes in the morning when first waking up due to the crust and debris. Then at the end of the day to rinse off everything.

I hav issues doing the tape on oily skin, do you have any tips? The tape will slide right off and I know it’s not the tape bc it’s sticky on other clients

What is your recommendation for oily clients that workout?
This is tricky especially if they’re oily. I usually tell my clients they need to wash their face right after and if they know it’s really bad they need to have blotting paper on hand to take away that extra oil!
ahhh im a new lash tech I'm on my 3rd month and today I had a girl come to me to remove her lashes bc her eyelids were too oily and she was like is there anything I can do and I was like ahhh girll lemme do my research and ill get back to you with an answer 😂😂
