I love how easy it is to get ready in the morning, but it's important to take care and maintain your lashes so they maintain and have a good retention. I am not a lash technician but this is how I clean my lash extensions and some tips to make your lash extensions last longer.

FINALLY a video that shows how to rinse!!!! I cant even tell you how many videos I tried 🤦🏼♀️ Is wiping them with a wet wash cloth too abrasive??
Yes, I would avoid wiping them - I like to just rise it with water from above your lashes and gently pat dry. :)

My question - I am getting them done for a vacation to Belize. We will be in water a LOT - will this affect my lashes even if I use my fan and brush them out every time they get wet?
If it is salt water, yes. But just try them and brush them out asap after :)
You don’t want to get them wet for 48 hours after you get them so they can curate.
The sea water in Belize is salter than most ocean water. Good luck.

I’ve seen some girls use baby shampoo or baby body wash to clean their lashes with. Do you think I would be fine using tht on my lashes ?
I use baby shampoo mixed with water to clean my lashes and it’s been working perfectly fine for me. I’ve been getting my lashes done for over a year now and I’ve never had issues.

Do you clean your lashes even if you don’t put make up on the lashes ? I wear make up but I don’t put it around my eyes
Yes! I wash my lashes every night even if I didn't wear any eye or face makeup. You want to clean any dirt or oil that may be on your lashes :)
Can you use mascara on you lash extensions?
U just got lashes done today one eye feels very normal the other feels just a little bit weird is my first time getting them tho so idk if it’s normal and bc i have to get used to it or bc the glue has to dry for 48 hours ? Can someone please tell me so i can be calm lol
Hi! If it feels weird like heavy or just weird that you have lashes on that’s normal :) it can take some time getting used to having lashes on all the time. If it feels weird like your eyes are puffy or itchy it might mean you’re allergic

how can i sleep with my lashes without having to sleep on my back?
You wash your lashes once a day with the cleanser? or just couple times a week?
I cleanse mine every day if I wore makeup, or every other day if I don't wear makeup. I'm also oily so I feel like I need to cleanse mine more often
I wish you could share some of your oily skin lol. It is a challenge keeping mine hydrated because my skin is dry to the bone. It doesn't produce even an ounce of oil.

How do you know if your lashes are getting washed throughly? When you did it, the shampoo got sudsy. I never get that. Also, I was told when cooking to never have your lashes directly on the steam. What about shower steam or if you are getting a facial? What can you tell me about lashes and steam?
Micaela Wedge Everyone’s soap is different but I would say to wash it for at least a minute and make sure you thoroughly rinse it. Avoid steam at all cost! Steam will make the glue on your lashes soft and the lashes will fall off faster. Take a colder shower or face away from the shower head.
@@JennChiulifestyle This morning I had a clump of lashes at the end. Not sure how they clumped. I dried them after washing last night. I couldn't get them to unclump. I kept brushing them, but got nowhere. My fan hasn't arrived yet so I couldn't try that. I had to think creatively. I ran a toothpick through and that worked. Hey, how many lashes is normal to lose during a washing?

is it okay to actually wash your lash after it dries for 48 hours? i’m sooo afraid for getting them wet it never got any water around it 😭
Yes! You can wait 24 hours but I prefer to wait 48 to be sure. You definitely want to wash your lashes to make them last longer and get rid of any oil/dirt that is on your lashes.
Can you use the fan on dry lashes?
Micaela Wedge You can! Sometimes I’ll use the fan on my lashes if my eyes are itchy haha

You only wash at night, right. In the morning, do you still wet and dry your lashes before brushing or do you brush them dry?
Micaela Wedge In the morning I just brush them out, no water necessary :)
do you want to avoid getting your lashes wet when you wash your face in the morning with your regular cleanser?
I personally do, I will wash around my eyelashes
Should you tip your lash tech?
Sometimes my brush gets caught. Does that mean I am brushing too close to the lash line?
Micaela Wedge It might be, I would try brushing them out further out towards the tip if that is happening

What style lashes do you ask for when you get them done?😍
I ask for volume, wispy :) I typically get the style (depends on what your artist calls it) where the lashes are longer in the middle of my eye instead of the outer corners
