I’m from western PA and have lived in North Western Ohio for the last 14 years.. I haven’t had Ham BBQ or been called a jag off since then. Thank you!
You are very welcome! :)
Isley's ham has a TOTALLY different flavor than ANY other ham... Can't make ham bbq without it 😋
Gotta give the outatahners hope!
Im from pittsburgh and i loved hearing yinz!!!! Im making this gor a halloween party sat. No one here has ever heard of it.
It is definitely a Pittsburgh word lol
I grew up in Pittsburgh and I made ham barbecue sandwiches just like you're doing now. Isley's chipped ham is special. It's different than just chipped ham. I've been all over the West searching for chipped ham like Isaly's. Nothing is like it.
Yeah it really is unique, but in a pinch gotta go with what ya have!
My God it's like looking me in the mirror. you are the best thank you I'm a pittsburgher myself.👍🇺🇸
Yinzers unite!
Loved this. It was hilarious. And the food looked good too. "Dinnertime, fluffy"
Thank you so much! She could hear that food drop from a mile away.
Ham bbq's for me are always just straight Isaly's chipped ham, Heinz Ketchup and Heinz Sweet Relish. You can add other sauces and make tweaks from there but that's the base.
Great tip will try it out!
I’m from Pa But have been in Virginia for 20 years. and was craving ham bbq. my kids don’t like it. My co workers never heard of it. So I threatened my work crew of 13 people I was bringing some to work, and today was the day. Pretty sure all 13 will be making this for their family. 🎉 you can take the girl out of Pennsylvania, but you can’t take Pennsylvania out of the girl!! ❤️ Once a yinz-er always a yinz-er
My recipe is the same Except we use brown sugar
Great thanks will have to give it a try!
If there is no chipped ham ..you go somewhere else
I wonder if you can get it on Amazon
My family has done it with just the ham, ketchup, and ginger ale.
Interesting!
That looks AMAZING!
Thanks!!
If you really want to make this a somewhat true BBQ, in lieu of white sugar, use brown sugar. Brown sugar is used in authentic BBQ sauce recipes.
I make my bbq like I live my live, inauthentic
I use Heinz chili sauce and mine you jagg off
Thanks for the tip n'at!
The tiny tasting spoon, iconic
Thanks they are fun to use!
I was gonna subscribe 'til I saw you don't make videos regularly. I'll just go through the ones you've made already😎
Yeah I seem to do like 10 episodes or so then take a break, I think I will have some more in a bit here. Almost like making a season! Editing takes me a lonnnnng time!
it aint a real ham barbecue if the fire alarm doesn't go off and you can't figure out how to shut it off at least once
so sayeth in the sacred texts n'at
Yes. I am here from Jeff Goldblum. What’s it to you?
They need to put a statue of him next to Mr. Rogers
Always have a kitchen towel available to waft the smoke detector.
Think of fighting a bull
lol great point thanks!
How many pounds to feed 80 people?
80
4 pounds to feed 20
For those summer BBQs!
Add some liquid smoke and dill relish works too
Great thanks for the tips!
Jim's hot dogs in West Mifflin. End game.
Will have to give it a try!
Thanks so good!!
Glad I could help thank you!
Jeff Goldblum mentioned this on Hot Ones
A national treasure
@@urbansteader6763 Joe Montana Mike Ditka Joe Namath Aaron Donald .... list of yinzers goes on and on haha
then a skyscraper ice cream cone!!!
Now we're talkin!
In my family we just use ketchup and relish, maybe some other secret ingredient
Will have to try with relish next time thank you!
@@urbansteader6763 yeah idk how my mom makes it but if it doesn't have relish, is it really chipped ham bbq?
This recipe is based off the original Isaly's recipe which didn't have relish. The next time I make it I will definately give it a try with relish sounds like a great addition thank you very much!
YA GOTTA FRIZZLE FRY THAT MEAT MEAT MEAT FIRST.
Is this a Primus reference?
Your intro could use some class.
I have brought great shame upon myself
Isleys has a very specific taste. Lol
it really does
Do you wanna da chip ham or da chop ham?
Just gimme a pahnd of each
Never was big on the ham bbq or the hamburg bbq..It's not really bbq sorry..I'm from central pa..We love middelsworth chips and cheasteak 's...But we eat ours with lettuce tomatoes and onions and white american cheese and pepper relish...cheese wiz is gross
Agreed not really BBQ but I still like it. Love me some cheese steaks, never got into the cheese whiz either. To each their own, thanks for watching and hope you have a great day!
Moved DOWN here lol I knew you were screwed from the git go.
Well I came from a norther state so PA was technically DOWN from there ;). I am screwed up though, thanks for watching!
Kind of an AvE vibe
Never heard of that person until now, thank you! dude is hilarious.
Get ur mittens lmbo
I think I said "come get your pittance" but I like the way you heard it better lol
No, its not. Isaly's is half meat and half fat. That's what gives it its flavor and texture and why it is so deliciously sloppy at the end of cooking and why it absorbs into the bread so perfectly.
Interesting did not know that thank you!
Thanks Mike. I was gonna get rid of most of the fat on my ham, but since I've seen your comment I've definitely had second thoughts👍👍👍👍
I knew it was a loaf, but I didn't realize that trimmings (fat) made up 1/2 of it. I guess that's why it was/is so inexpensive.
Stop the lies and do your research BEFORE you comment. The lean to fat ratio is 83/17 not 50/50.
hey jagoff where did you get this recipe from?
some little ol lady from cleveland?
1 lb chipped ham (o k you can use cooked ham if you absolutely have to)
1/2 jar of ISALY'S BBQ sauce nothing else works right (in spicey or reguler)
throw everything in a pot and heat til hot
serve on hamburger buns with pickles and potatoe chips
yinnzer dinner anytime anyplace
Jeff Goldblum actually mentioned it on Hot Ones lol
I might have they didn't say where they were from, but they did take 79 North when they left. Thanks for the recipe!
Dad stuff in the slow cooker and leave it on until the stealer game go Pittsburgh
I bet you eat chicken in a can
It's a nectar from the gods
The overlays kill me
Thanks! MeeeeeEEEeeeeeeeeEEEeeeeeeeeEEEeeeeeEEEEeeeeeeeeeat!
your cooking skills are lacking, I just hope your ingredient list is correct 😊
You'll probably find that lacking too.
It could be you were single, because you can be very obnoxious.
Maybe that too. Thanks for watching!
Nope not pittsburgh style
How would you make it?
With Islay’s ham bbq sauce jagoff
