- A compilation of the absolute most hated playstyles in Smash, from players camping the ledge the entire game to try to get a timeout, to salt-inducing wobbling, and more of the most salt-inducing playstyles in Super Smash Bros!
Despite some of these playstyles being very effective, they're considered by many to be strongly against the spirit of the game, and extremely boring to play against.
Here I've compiled moments where these strategies are used to great effect, usually causing salt from the person unlucky enough to be playing against it.
PS: I'm planning on potentially making another one of these in the future, so if there was a clip you expected to see in here (like Hungrybox vs Chudat, or Hungrybox vs Mango) don't worry, it'll most likely be in the next one!

Well bayonetta didnt really kill Sm4sh. It was the toxic fanbase of Smash. With Bayonetta and Sm4sh's Ridiculously slow Launch speed, it was easy for Bayonetta to pull off combos. But if Bayonetta was truly Broken than MKLeo wouldve lost his title as the best smash player to some random bayonetta main

When you dangle a few thousand dollars over someones head and they're just trying to break even from Travel Expenses, it's quite tempting. I respect the hustle, but it's such a bore to watch.
Especially in smash where u can exploit & play lame as you want with not much restriction & oversights to the gameplay

I hate camping because it's so morally unreqarding, I like winning when I earn it, which is why I like to be aggressive, also camping isn't nearly as fun as getting good combos and actually outplaying your opponent

Also I don't understand why the smash community hates the idea of character bans or ledgegrab/timeout/wobbling rules. If it's optimal to play Sonic in the most cancer way possible, then make Sonic mains play one of the other 85 characters. Top players _should_ play to win, but bearing in mind 99% of their revenue comes from casuals having fun and entering the tournament and advertisements because people enjoy watching the game.
@@Xrelent Because character bans directly target a section of the playerbase and cause a significant amount of their time investment to be utterly wasted. Also, people may not ever click with another character, and their results will suffer for that.
I'm all for banning characters that warp the entire metagame around them to an unhealthy degree (Bayo), but you shouldn't ban stuff that is incredibly annoying just because it has an optimal playstyle you disagree with. Sonic is a very poorly designed character with a kit that discourages interaction, but he's not destroying the entire metagame of Ultimate.

There was a money match between these two players where one was talking so much shit to the other guy, while the other guy didn’t say anything. Silent guy camped out the shit talker, and people cheered for that. That is the one time I liked camping.
Matches with a lot of camping are hype when the camper wins.

Not just combos but easy to perform 0 to death combos from basically anywhere on the stage. If you were good enough with Bayo D.I. wouldn't even help.
@@El_Andru literally any character does not match up against Bayonetta. She's the best character in the game. A smash noob can beat a pro player with her. Even after the nerf she's still broken.
At this point if you're still playing Smash 4 you either community agree to ban her or you just play her. It's like Metaknight in Brawl, now that the game's main season is over you can't complain unless it is to ban the character. You are willingly playing this game with an over-centralized top tier, if it's here it's here.

And I play a VERY aggressive DDD (love my combos), but sometimes I liked to show the other player next to me that camping ain't fun to deal with if they started it first. :P

Tbf I don’t use Sonic like that. All of his moves are exceptional and can combo well if used correctly. He doesn’t have a lot of kill power but he is very easy to utilize.

That Villager player is probably a main reason they banned customs lol. I was so confused why there were random explosions until I remembered that customs were once legal. Also I wonder if Dingus Joe was trying to get out of any of those combos in the last clip (unless it was prepatch then everything else I say is irrelevant). It didn't look like he was SDIing, but it did look like he could've escaped those combos. The Bayo just did basic combos, nothing that actually would've caught good SDI.
Forgot to add, how do people have fun playing like this (except the Bayo since that's just Bayo's playstyle)? I get wanting to win but personally I don't sacrifice fun to win a game, can't imagine doing it.
yea that player was essentially making a mockery of the game. it's just an insult to everyone who were playing the game legit. surprise, that player isnt anywhere near as "good" in ultimate. they changed their name to interrobang and still play the same exact way.
I will say I actually have a lot of fun playing keepaway as Duck Hunt. It is engaging and rewarding to win. But I don't play that way with people online because I know that they wouldn't feel the same way about it. There is a big difference between camping and forcing the other player to approach.

in the end is a way to victory, its really lame and boring but he is trying to win, i really hate that playstyle and only thinking of it makes me sick but its more fault of the desing of the character rather than the players using the tools at their dispossal. its like trying to fight against little mac, its better to camp him rather than fighting because is the easiest way to victory. i think they should change sonic so it doesnt promote this kind of playstyle. (same for little mac)

Unless he figured M2K was more likely to SD than he was likely to win an exchange by approaching ledge, he shouldn't have stalled. I know it's almost impossie to approach M2K on the ledge, but it's better than timing yourself out.

@@brainfreeze10 nah, tbh marth's ledge camp is really trash. Falco can sneak in a ledge grab, down smash, etc. The risk is decently high, but it also only takes one win to kill marth on the edge.
Robert Cassidy west Ballz could have challenged mew2kings ledge reset, yeah it would’ve been risky cause it’s mew2king a highly technical player, but you still have options. I think it’s west’s fault for not even daring to challenge him. That’s exactly what mew was looking for and it worked
I'm glad that PM/P+ added ledge grab limit by granting fewer invincibility frames with each regrab. Also completely have no invincibility after the 4th ledge regrab. Then after the 6th regrab you have to get on stage because you can't grab the ledge again until you get on stage.
I just want to mention the last part about not grabbing ledge after the 6th regrab is untrue. You can always regrab the ledge, but you will lose invincibility after the first few times, as you said.
