I learned this when I was 17, in NY, while I listened to a specific classmate pray in this tone and rhythm. I thought I was crazy, or quirky, for always wanting to stand beside him as he prayed.
A little late, i know i know, but i had something like that but with my friend who calculated math questions sounding like this and i never wanted them to stop bc it calmed me down
my mom used to play with my hair and whisper catholic prayers to put me to sleep as a child and i felt the same way but years later, in middle school i discovered asmr and i've been falling asleep to it everynight for 7 years (:
