- I finally had the chance to film a new episode for "Our Tokyo Diaries" and I couldn't be more happy about it. This time I'm going with Barrett (link below) to Jimbocho in Tokyo, which is also know as "Book Town" because of all the old and second hand bookstores it has. But Jimbocho has to offer way more: It is famous for Curry and called Tokyos Curry capital. So, of course we had to go to a Curry place as well. What else we discovered in this aesthetic little area in Tokyo, you can check out in the video! I hope you enjoy it!

I don't recall ever seeing video, or even hearing of this area before. So, thanks for something new. My father ran a book store, and I recall his inventory system kept most books for 1 year or less. Very few titles enjoyed a longer shelf life. A much different feel from the older books shown.
You're welcome! :) I love this area, especially bc I was a student for so long and read a lot. It's perfect for students or people who like to read, but in general a nice area to take a walk etc. or eat Curry.

Jimbocho is known for their bookstores because that area has 3 Universities so the area is full of students and scholars looking for books.
I went to one of those universities. :) But I never really bought books there bc I used our library instead.
I used to go to Jinbocho to buy books; I'm buying books and ebooks on Amazon.
I would love to buy more books 📚 but there's never enough time to read all of them
