Of course, everything is subject to change and some things were not fully showcased when needed - such as the boss statues from the beginning cause we should all already know how those go.
Some other notes however, there is supposedly fish food available in the bottle exchange however I couldn't access it personally. Furthermore, a somewhat "tiered" tackle box exists too?

Pearl, the crab hermit, is trying to communicate with the crab king which i assume is her husband, which went crazy after the lunar island fell
@@bluemoth6983 but how would it be like that if she doesn't have a reason? it could be that they are BOTH sending messages, so maybe the crab king isn't quite as insane as we are lead to think :)
But at the end the king crab turns into a normal 🦀, floating somewhere of the sea

Yes, the amazing events Forge & Gorge didn't make as much money as they had hoped (the money they gained from the events only barely compensated for the servers required to run the games), so they kinda abandoned the project, but that doesn't mean we can't see Mumsy & Billy as NPCs!
Unless we're they're going to make the Vorge or something (and we have to host the events ourselves), I would REALLY like to see them really soon! Maybe they could be on a separate island just like... that Granny Crab (dunno what's her name) & they could sell Victorian weapons or something! I just want to see they're ok!
Oh, I know why The Forge and Gorge are no longer a thing and I agree that SOMETHING could've been saved from them. I'm just speaking truth, Klei abandoned all that.

Klei doesn't seem like the kind of people who abandon story or continuity for the sake of money, let alone the *Don't* *Starve* Story. Honestly, I *do* *not* care if there's no Vorge or Jorge, I just want to see Mumsy & Billy again.

Beard i tested the beta and once you help the hermit enough she will start to introduce herself her name is pearl. She will dance all the time. She will even treat you like her grandchildren ,,let me pinch your cheeks" ,,are you eating well?". Pearl is an interesting character and i cant wait for the full update

I do like the idea of finding an NPC and helping them though! I hope we get more npc’s we can help that aren’t incredibly out of the way
The ability to change skins is AMAZING especially considering you could probably have a friend with a skin join and change for you

The story you can put together for the hermit is a sad one, and giving her the cracked pearl of her loved one gets her down with her thanking you one last time. (Also theres a level two tackle box which may be related to this)
Considering that the pearl is still bugged I didn't bother to show much cause well, it's bugged so not accessible to being with! :D
We'll see how things transpire though!

So get this, I was figuring this update out with a friend,
and we just happened upon the Crab king by luck, since we were just trying to learn content on our own, we didn't know you could use multiple of the same gem,
so we ended up putting EVERY single type of Gem inside his helmet, we were killed pretty quickly.

Hey Beard! I have idea for this week's mod Monday! The Medic Mod.
The mod itself adds the character Medic from TF2. The special thing is....it makes bones renewable! I know you might like mod to reveal and show.

Well, since the pearl and the quests are still bugged I didn't bother showing much else beyond The Crab King cause some folk won't be able to access it regardless!
“She search sea shells” by the seashore is a reference to Mary anning (discovered the most complete fosiles at the time ( yes i am a nerd))
And there's me who doesn't even care of going out to the sea due to having too much shit to deal with already :))
Thanks beard. Can you do a guide to cooked foods and if you should cook them? I saw corn is better than popcorn in general, I wonder if others are better or worse?
Corn, pumpkins, and bluecaps are mostly the only things to consider eating raw IIRC.

When I was listening to the gs and their effects on the crab king I was confused
Oh it's called she sells sea shells because she sells shells from the sea shore, and you can grab the shells with the pinch winch of the sea shore on to the floor so she sells sea shells sells sea shells on the sea floor exiting the door selling more.
aweee wish they can add more npc, this is so neat
The sunken chests have several sets, like the one in the video with a firestaff, charcoal, ash and a coat hanger. I once got the ultimate ds armor set: A log suit, a football helmet and a spear. There may be more but idk. Also the best strategy (one that works) is to drive around the crab king in a boat. One normal mast suffices to dodge his attacks and you can prevent him from healing by attacking him while he is repairing his castle. If you place new boats when he destroys one, you will eventually run out of space because the boards dropped by old boats block boat placement. All in all this boss is supposed to be fought in a group with someone driving the boat while others attack him. Also the claws have 500 Hp, just to say.
And the claws drop meat. Maybe we could farm some of those claws.
@@o-poppoo5117 Yeah, you can just slap 9 Green gems on him, wait until it rains and oneshot the claws he spawns with spicy volt goat jelly Wolfgang blow darts. Only problem is that green gems are the most rare of them all since they are quickly used for thulecite duplication, so you will have to resist the urge and save 9 of them up.
Agreed, the solo methods are less inviting and accessible due to losing space quickly. Teams make this super manageable but will prove tough still!

I think my biggest gripe with don't starve is that all the content that keeps getting added is super late game stuff, I really hoped they would give us some interesting new things to do on the early game as well, Like some high risk high reward stuff maybe, Like some optional bosses that could give us something like an unique food source, Idk just anything to spice up early to mid game.
The game's meta has stayed the same for years, and while i agree some early/mid content would be great, veteran players have been waiting for new stuff to do for years, i'm glad they are finally getting something new
Not sure, but you can simply just unlock the water-picking machine with the sea science machine

You can use the Tackle Box to store twigs, berrys, seeds and rot if you don’t want to store lures

Well, considering how there is only one pearl I believe and that pearl is still "broken" this is pure myth.
I have a mod that gives bigger and smaller boats, and Ill say it makes sailing much more bearable because I can move
my theory: what if the return of them is actually the survives return to there original world.

Hey beard, before the return of them updates, you couldn’t do much with the ocean. So I think the “them” the game talks about, is the creatures of the un-tropical sea.
No the "Them" have been around in DOn't Starve Lore for years. They are the "so far" unseen shadow monsters that are responsible for the constant and have apparently existed there for ages. Don't Starve/Together has a bunch of hidden lore that is super hard to get into.
At first I thought the Crabby hermit was a new playable character and I was hipped until I learn it was a NPC but I still like it

Just an idea what if the hermit crab had other things it could trade as well. Like it sells all the items it has already in this video in addition to those every day it randomly changes its items and the more you upgrade the house the more items the hermit sells and increases the chances for rarer items to appear and if you help out with choirs what if you can get a high chance for more items and even get a random gift along the lines of what you get in the sunken chest. Just a thought

The "Together" argument is completely absolute and such a cop out answer. Plenty people play solo, plenty suggest that there should be accessible options for said individuals and all they need to make it happen is simply make boats actually boats and not a literal, floating circle.

The only good thing I can think of about big boats is that it gives a lot more opportunities for sea basing, but that's really about it.
Klein thinking we give a damn about fishing in this game. It's very slow and you can't even fish fast enough to feed yourself really. All it's good for is a winter food stockpile. as they don't spoil in the fish tins.
i hope the new celestial tribute can craft the iridescent gem and the moon caller staff without waiting for the full moon.
Now when all of these coming to the actual game? We need these New contents now more than ever to pass the time.(I know I can try beta but I want all of these to my actual world)

As much as I am slightly disappointed at the update, I’m gonna stay optimistic and hope that Klei has some cool stuff planned after She Sells Sea Shells drops for everyone. Maybe another puzzle like the William Carter or Metheus puzzles? I dunno. I know Klei isn’t a perfect dev by any means, but they gotta have some good stuff down the pipeline.
I hate to crush your optimism but come on people, folk have been sharing this very sentiment for over a year and continue to say it with every update. You have every right to feel as you do however can people just witness and accept reality every now and then? :D
Eventually we MAY get something outside of seafaring, yes, but it's been over a year and here we are. At this point, and with the implications this newest updates gives with that celestial tribute thing, the game is moving in the wrong direction. None of this, seriously, none of this means a damn thing. That's a problem.
The Beard 777 I get where you’re coming from, and I guess we’ll just have to wait until Klei think that seafaring has been expanded enough to get them to focus on other parts of the game. I do give them a *bit* of credit, because in my opinion the seafaring has always been a bit lacking compared to Shipwrecked. Is it something that I’ll personally use? Probably not in all honesty but I recognize that Klei want to at least try to improve a section of the game that no one really touches.

I hate the movement on the water. On my day 700+ Wilson, I already died twice on water and lost a lot of ressources. Its much better in shipwrecked. Not going to use water until it gets a bit better.

These things seem kinda dissapointing considering Klei could have focused more on the lunar stuff and made some really interesting stuff, like a moon boss
Moon Boss, had preexisting bosses have Lunar variants, multiple lunar island with varying mobs, more lunar crafts, Charlie VS The Moon, etc.
I could go on and on about the lunar content and what could've been, shame.
I randomly got the sweeper when playtesting a mod and just kinda awkwardly swung it around a bit

I don't think it's possible to finish her quest yet, at least it wasn't when filming this video.
