agree with Neel, one of the most likeable features of Naruto is they know how to make you feel either happy, excited or sad. And they know when to pull the Sakuga in the show not just in fights but also in these type of scenes.
Naruto is not just Jiraiya's student. Being his godfather, he's essentially his only family left and Naruto clearly loved him as if he were a grandfather. Someone better protect Iruka at all costs because the kid's lost enough in his life already and he's not even 17 yet. As for Tsunade, she just lost her two oldest friends in the span of weeks. Try as she might, she probably still held some affection for Orochimaru. Also, this isn't the first time she's won a bet. She's won them previously, but they're usually treated as bad omens. Think back to the beginning of Shippuden; she won a lottery, which was closely followed by Gaara's death.

As we can see....as Naruto realizes Jiraiya is dead, he got isolated yet people like Iruka and Shikamaru never turned back on him....he had such great comrades to support him emotionally stronger and not loss his faith....without comrades he´d be gone a long time ago.
Yet he still kept going back to Sasuke who was never there for him 💀

As I can see you skipped the previous filler arc. I think it is very interesting and kinda important. I’d like to retell it for you shortly. A girl named Hotaru was being attacked by some band. The band wanted to get a scroll which contained the secrets jutsu of her clan. She escaped with a man named Utakata and Naruto’s team helped them. Now the story of Utakata: he is a junchuriki of the 6 tails and he has a traumatising memory of his master trying to kill him, so Utakata killed his master. After that he left his village and became a nukenin (as Sasuke for example) Later he found out that the master was just trying to free him from the bidju. He decided to leave Hotaru as soon as Naruto arrived to help her but destiny brought them back together. Hotaru wanted to become his student, he refused because of that memory but she was very persistent... Long story short they defeated the band which was trying to get the scroll and destroyed the scroll. Utakata learned the truth about his master and decided to become Hotaru’s teacher. But he had to negotiate with an anbu team from his village which had to either kill him or get him back as far as he was nukenin. He knew they were nearby so he left Hotaru for “5 minutes” to find them but met Pain who came there for him. Pain won the battle and took Utakata with him and the last thing Utakata did was a bubble (his special jutsu) sent to Hotaru who was waiting for him but he never came... I really like this arc and hope that my retelling helped you😊

Yes Shikamaru can relate to what Naruto is going through better than others, but it's not the same. Shikamaru still has his mom and dad, Naruto doesn't have a family. Jiraiya was more than just his teacher, he was like his father figure and pretty much his grandpa you can say. Plus Asuma had other members of team 10 he cared for, it's just he was closest to Shikamaru. Jiraiya only had Naruto and they spent over 3 years together with just the 2 of them. The man not only trained him, but taught him about life and how to be a man.

It's still on my mind but, if sarutobi or jiraiya gave naruto some guidance atleast like a family or something like that since they're one of the people who knows that naruto is the fourth hokage and it was never his fault
But also if that were to happen we wouldn't be here, so idk if I should be happy that naruto was mostly alone when he was a child or not. And almost forgot the fact that the 3rd hokage is most of the time busy and shit so he can't babysit naruto.
The story started with a young, lonely newborn child into a fully grown teen who's capable of defeating an akatsuki(not sure if he can or not, but in my perspective, him alone is enough to defeat an akatsuki)
