Otis Series 5 Death Trap Hydraulic Elevator at Dun Huang Parking Garage, Chinatown in Houston, TX.

The doors do not sound great and made a big jolt going up! Weird how on the 4th floor, when you call the button it won't work and I really don't know why. I almost thought it broke, but it didn't. Dun Huang Plaza Parking Garage, FIX YOUR ELEVATOR!!!!!!!!!!!!

The parking structure itself is pretty light construction. I've never seen a parking deck supported by lightweight single trusses under corrugated steel floor pan... and with NO fireproofing applied?! It wouldn't take much of a car fire to cause the decking to deform... or even collapse!! As for the elevator... Tighten the loose door flange on 1 & replace the down call button on 4... problems fixed! :-)

Well practically, this is at an Asian shopping center so what do you expect from a poor maintenance like that. Plus, this elevator is bread for good. Elevator car is sat underleveled at the bottom floor with the hoistway doors crooked open a little.

@@JimLiElevatorsyeah I agree, Asian shopping malls and Indian shopping malls DO NOT and I repeat DO NOT fix their elevators unless it is absolutely necessary. I guess for them it’s not necessary to fix this after 10 years and the schindlers. They just believe in adding new ones….
