Shadow Equalities Minister Charlotte Nichols has said criticism of trans swimmer Lia Thomas amounted to "lazy transphobia". Lia Thomas has made headlines after becoming the first transgender athlete to win an NCAA final.
Julia asks: "Is it lazy transphobia for a woman like myself to say a man competing against women is cheating and is ruining women's sport?
Labour MP James Murray emphasises that debating trans issues should be done "sensitively".
"This debate gets heated- it's important for all of us to take the heat out of the debate and approach it in a sensitive way."
Julia: "Don't you think it's strange that you're sitting there as a man and telling me what a woman is?"
This follows JK Rowling stating that "the Labour Party can no longer be counted on to defend women’s rights" after Labour leader Keir Starmer stated that "trans women are women".

Correct. A phobia is not preference, not discrimination, not bigotry and not a prejudice. It’s a defined mental disorder. An irrational terror, often of something that either poses no real threat or that most people wouldn’t bother about. For example claustrophobia, agoraphobia. It may debilitate the sufferer for whom we feel sympathy. It’s even more than an irrational fear. It’s an overwhelming and debilitating one - a clinical anxiety disorder.

i saw something (explained by a human right lawyer i think) about trans identity, especially in the case of an actual certificate declaring a biolical man to be a woman, being "a legal deception" or "a legal construct" or some such thing. similar to to when a jury declares someone (not guilty) innocent of a crime, to all intents and purposes they then become legally innocent of that crime regardless of what anyone may think or say. vice-versa if they are found guilty, they then can be legally referred to as the perpetrator of that crime rather just a suspect or "the accused".
my point being that many many of them do not think they actually _are_ women but they have legal status of "woman", no matter what anyone may say or think, then they express that as "they are women" because to describe them any other way would be to violate their legal status (ie. to discriminate against them), not to mention that it would also piss of the woke twitter mob.
