I am currently listening to this video with my Sennheiser Massdrop HD 58x headphones, during your frequency tests the bass frequency all I hear is a muffled sound, then during the treble frequency all I hear is high pitched whispering. So does this mean my headphones are missing out on some important ranges?

I can confirm, they are great quality! I wear them for 3+ years, sound is so good, ways better than Beats. The only bad thing is that after couple years the rings will pill off, but this doesn't affect the sound quality.

You don't need to order a cable from Sennheiser, you can use a 3.5mm female to 2.5mm male adapter, and a right-angle adapter You now have a regular 3.5mm port on your 380s.

Cool video listening to it using the hd380 pro
With a smartphone like xperia z2 the headphones are nither loud nither as clear but with an ipad it makes a huge difference and sounds very good,it has bass but rock or metal music won't be that good the bass with such songs is weak but with genres like trance or goa trance or electronic in general where it really shines. Vocals are verry clear like if you watch alot of youtube videos or movies, plug it in ps4 dualshock and everything is crystal clear
With a smartphone an amp is a must to drive it while an ipad can drive it very well.
I hope myexperience might helps someone.

The HD380-PRO are awesome - the only drawback are the ear pads which are not so durable - but hey - thanks to Sennheiser you can replace them and other parts if they break.
I had previously BEATS STUDIO by Dre (mk 1 - the ones with no bluetooth and without built in recharchable batteries) - bought them being lured by some reviews and that the BEATS were equipped with active noise cancellation system - which at first glance was superb - the sensation was nice and the headphones gave nice punch of bass. The earpads were a little bit too small and you feel some pain after 1 hour or so. Unfortunatelly over 1,5 year later they just broke down - but fortunatelly for me the warranty was still valid (2 year). So I decided to get another headphones - after studying again many reviews I finally left with two options: Beyerdynamic DT770M 80 ohms or Sennheiser HD 380-PRO. I went for the Sennheiser as my two other workmates had them too (well I didn't check the DT770M - so don't get confused that they were worse - honestly - I don't know).
The moment I could finally test them for few hours at home just made me convince that the HD380-PROs outran the BEATS light years ahead - big earpads that keep your whole ear inside the pads so you don't get fatigued after an hour or more. The cushions press firmly to your head isolating any outside noise while the music is playing. And the sound... if you think you've heard music before - you haven't. You can litteraly isolate each sound, each level, bass, midtones, high tones - and the sound comes to your ears as if it was not just right next to you ear but was few meters away (few yards away - that's for Americans ;-) ).
However there is one condition - you need to have a good sound source - not some crappy portable MP3 or other cheap music player. They are not like BEATS that - thanks to built in amplifier and equilizer enhance any sound coming from the poor quality device at a price of distorted sound (BEATS are not monitors). But you will be rewarded for feeding them with high quality sound source.
If you are still not convinced - well - go to any music store, put them on your head - and let them "talk" - congrats - you've just discovered music for half a price of other comparable headphones.

It is not the issue of hearing 27 kHz frequencies, the high frequencies modulate the other audible ones giving them a texture, also there is the issue of THD at the frequency extremes, so do not assume that the headphones were designed for dolphins by stupid German engineers.
