Other than my Parasound A21+ speaker amp I've never really liked any other amp pairing with the HE6 all that much but the soloist is fucking amazeballs in this chain.
Personally as I've stated in some videos, I use an Xduuo XD-05 Basic! It may not be $500 dacamp, but it's the best I've heard so far and I can't really imagine using anything else and telling the difference.

From this list, my only experience is with Chord Mojo. In isolation and judging only from the sound quality is a very detailed and clean sound, but also a bit too warm and narrow for my taste. I often perceived it as congested but with more attention, it actually wasn't. So a very good sound overall. I used it with DT990 Pro and EL-8 Open. My problem with it is as a product and experience. I couldn't use it for more than 4h with EL-8 and the charging took the same. 4h charging is painfully slow. I couldn't use it while charging because it shut down from the heat and I also couldn't use it for desktop because it was whining lowdly when it was fully charged but still connected to the charging cable. I tried many chargers and cables that many reported good success with, but it wasn't quiet enough to be usable. I replaced my first unit thinking that maybe mine is just a lemon, but the second one behaved exactly the same. For £400 is an awful experience with a flawed product.
Get a used Hugo TT. It is designed to be left plugged in and also has a wider sound. The only problem with chord products is they only really sound good after they have warmed up after at least 30mins.

Would any DAC discussed here make audio coming out of a desktop PC also sound better the same way you say it will make audio sound better coming from the Macbook laptop? I can't figure out if the onboard audio on my motherboard (ASUS Crosshair Hero VIII) is any worse than an external DAC. If I buy a DAC, I want/need to make sure it's going to sound better than my current setup: USB output into 3.5mm headphone jack Y-split out to Left & Right powered M-AUDIO BX5a studio monitors.... so many things to choose from, sheesh!
Sir, please buy the kph30i clear ones and compare that to the normal ones you have right now. Some say the clear ones sound different and less clampy. Do it soon ok. Doesn't cost much. And sir could you try oneodio pro 10? It's cheap but very hyped.

Hey man I haven't heard that one but generally speaking per my experience, audio interfaces are really good and dacs themselves aren't light years better. It does depend on the interface tho. My 2i2 had a pretty high output impedance so it kind of behaved a tad more like a receiver but even that's exaggerating it a bit. In other words, I loved it and just don't really care much about any perceived "sound improvements" in a dac because I'm of the opinion that there aren't really any. Most dacs are pretty similar sounding and have subtle differences.

I know DAC's are more specific or rather exclusive for listenting to sound but would a good Audio Interface do the same as a DAC. Not a top tier one but an average DAC? My Interface allows audio at 192K HZ
Hey man it's been awhile since I owned an Interface, but I would say it's pretty comparable. The only thing is that when I had the 2i2 the Output Impedance was kind of high so it did make a difference in warmth vs. neutrality. I believe that was advertised as less than 10 Ohm but you could definitely hear the difference vs. a more neutral one. It kind of just depends on which you prefer really. Interfaces aren't bad at all for music listening.

I aint that connected to the DAC market, well I should, as I said before I own a iBasso Zero MK2 (Very very cheap). If we gonna speak about crack levels of addiction, mine is more focused to the audio files I get and how they shift and twist blood making me hallucinate. But is nice to see you junkie side, that 0:39 was F hillarious, that shii was wild. If I could get a AMP and DAC it would be the Chord Mojo, I researched it when I was about to get the HD6XX, but the MF price was too high and it had the features I wanted. I will get it one day.

And I wonder how big the placebo effect is. You can fool yourself because you believe it is better but it is not. Hey man. An interesting review. Thanks for giving this lesson. Of course the better DAC is better but when you go up to 192 khz 24 bit I think the maximum is reached. And I wonder how big the placebo effect is. You can fool yourself because you believe it is better but it is not. This also is only suited for people who are interested and have a good musical ear, for other people I think it's useless to buy "special" DAc's. Anyway great review, nice humor. Keep on going man! Fn.halriouz review by ya, HSB.Bean onna tws bender since my first pair of jvc ha a7t gumy stemz..I ave a pair of wired skullcandy hesh 2z, and i wanted to shed all tge straps, cables, etc..now i ave 8 pair of twsz, found a dac player in my budget phone..thats right..A budget phone..anyway, think ur videox are really entertaining, therez no shame in self inflicted shame..lol..since this bender, the twsz, ave got me back into listening with , tws/ iem, full headphones..i didnt even know what a iem was, until last summer..i wanted to pick up a budget amp dac, to power my sk 2z, and now. , ive just purchased 2 more wired iems..whizzer bs1 openback, faaeal, snow lotus..I like the twsz, cause they give ya amps and codecs in the bt product, without goin nuts tryin to purchase one..they can be xpenzive, to power wired headphones/ iemz, etc..
Was thinkin bout getting the neoteck for 30 buckz to power the skz, whizzer and snow lotus, once i burn em both in..
