That match on 2021 was very intense, as well as the match on 2022, and that set on 2021 was amazing. But Nadal was not in best shape in that match. For me the best match in Roland Garros ever is the semifinal 2013. Probably the best Nole I ever seen on Clay, and one of the Best Nadal (probably the 2nd best after 2008). And the best match ever in any surface Australia final 2012. Best Nadal on Australia hard ever and 2nd best Nole after 2011.

It's astounding that 95% of people who leave comments lack analytical skills regarding tennis or, likely, any other topic. In essence, they claim that Alcaraz was "destroyed" by Novak. They need to be reminded first of all that Alcaraz essentially stopped playing after two sets and simply pushed the ball to the opposing side of the court in the last two sets due to cramps. Second, and most importantly, Alcaraz was one point away from winning the second set 6-3. One point away. Despite the fact that both players ran a lot during the second set, as far as I'm aware, anyone who really understands tennis would tell you that it was a relatively normal set. As we all know, Alcaraz prevailed 7-5 to take the set. The fact that he played with camps in the last two-three games of the second set is something that nobody seems to notice. If you closely watch the video, you will see it-barring the fact that you are an idiot, but the number of these seems numerous here. So, Alcaraz wins the second set 7-5 despite camps, and with a small stretch, he could have won it 6-3. Imagine Alcaraz playing the following two sets without any camps now. The probability of him winning this match would have been extremely high (I insisted on the word "probability" here). Conclusion: Djokovic's victory over Alcaraz was fortunate for him because he most likely would have lost this match in normal conditions. And the camps did not come out because Djokovic made Alcaraz run all over the place. Against every opponent, Alcaraz tries to hit all the balls.

Because having started out scared in set one just as at SW19, and then coming back and beating Novak in a set that Novak played at his supreme best, he was in the driver's seat from a psychological point of view -- as he was by then extremely confident, whereas Novak must have been thinking, "How in the world did I just lose a set in which I played insanely well?"

Aging, he will have to learn when to run for impossible balls,
stretching leg muscles like he does on every ball, will get him into injury troubles again and again.

Spasm of the muscles of the whole body. Alcaraz is not yet ready for more hours of tennis.
Novak let him run like crazy and use up all the energy in his body. He burned out mentally and physically from the desire to win and prove himself. Novak systematically tried to slow down the game and prolong the match as much as possible.

Alcaraz played terrible on his own serve. He went to the net a few times on bad moments. And a few times he should have hit the ball to the other side, but because he didnt he put himself in a terrible situation. Strange that even with so many mistakes, he still won. If he improves that, Djokovich is no match for him. It is just scary how good he is. I think he will soon make Djokovich and Nadal look like amateurs.
