- On December 27th, 1979 two little girls in Ashland Oregon met up to walk over to the local courts to play tennis. Neither of them ever made it to their destination, and what happened next would change this artsy little town forever.

It's strange seeing a video about my cousin's murder. The Jackman family is doing well and we still remember Deana fondly. My mom told me about how terrifying it was in the hours before they discovered Deana's body. I was actually named in her memory. She was very loved, and the loss is still felt to this day. This helped bring me closure about the stories i grew up hearing. My mom saw this video and couldn't finish it. Thanks for keeping the name of my cousin alive and not letting this disgusting man's crimes be forgotten.
I miss this channel SO much. I wish it would continue. 😢
Thanks for presenting this case. It’s almost never discussed. Today I learned about it through an ad sent to my email. The interview that is featured on the quickie segment from Amazon shows a man of exceeding intelligence and capable of examining his actions. This is not supposed to be common among psychopaths. He is amazing to listen to. So why on earth would such a thoughtful considerate person do such a thing? It’s the last quandary of the human race.
I have been watching youre videos for the past 3 days since I heard of you ... I hope you put more on you are fantastic at this , I really appreciate you're work ❤
Please keep with content, you're really good at this.
I grew up here and was about 14 yrs old... this Rocked our entire valley "rogue valley"
Ur so underrated 😭😭
I moved to Ashland in the summer of 1980 with my mom and older sister. I was 10. I went to Walker elementary which was across the street from the SOSC football stadium where the first girl was found. It was all still very much a big deal when we moved there.
Would love these stories from you more often. Excellent narrative & presentation.
Happy Holidays! Looking forward to your next video.
Thank you!
RIP Deanna, RIP Rachel
Dear Brooke, could you please take a look at some of these cases? Kitty Genovese (1964), Artemus Ogletree (1935), Helle Crafts (1986), Arlis Perry (1974), Suzy Lamplugh (1986), Hinterkaifeck murders (1922).
Thank you and take care.❤ Sending you hugs from The Czech Republic. ❤🌹
Another great story. But what a horrific crime.
I love your videos. Poor girls 😔
where are you? i love your channel and have watched all the videos on here. I keep hoping there will be a new one and keep checking.
I hope everything is okay with you. I hope you did not stop making these.
Sometimes it takes awhile for people to know you are here and build more viewers.
But, the following you have is very loyal.
Please let us know if you are okay and if you are still making these stories.
This is my hometown too. I was in Kindergarten when this happened and I had an older sibling. I remember all the parents freaked out when this happened. The only thing I saw that you got wrong in this video is that back then, 6th grade was still in elementary school.
Another excellent job!
What happened to you? I need more of your stories and insights.
They weren’t in middle schools…they were in grade schools…6th grade was still in Grade school in Ashland Oregon. We only had one middle school and still do.
A very sad story but at least he is in prison now.
May I suggest that you ad Manuel’s name to your title here? It took me two hours to find your episode because I didn’t know the names of the girls.
We miss your videos have you stopped making them. 😊
ditto
👍✌️🙏❤️
I'll tell you a real crime . This channel doesn't have a 100000 subscribers.
Almost every time I find a new true crime channel, the creator has stopped making videos months ago.
I'm looking forward to new content. Thank you for your hard work. Great channel. I would love to hear a story and your opinion on the Marilyn Sheppard case (1954) in Bay Village, Ohio. Her husband Sam was convicted of her murder in a Kangaroo Court. Then 10 years later with the help of F. Lee Bailey, he was acquitted. I would love to hear your opinion.
Two innocent Beautiful Girls. 🙏🙏❤❤
This is one time a hanging is in order.
