Ok first off “I gotta stop a homicide” is great but “Id stick with her, sir.” Is a great line because burr is hinting to Hamilton that he knows about the Reynolds affair and it shuts Alex up *quick*
Theodsia (child) didnt die young her mother (also Theodosia) died after she had her they have the same name referenced in dear theodosia reprise (another deleted song)
I used to listen to this version so often, it was difficult for her to learn the final song as I kept slipping back to this one 😅 and suddenly, years later, I realise I can't remember if so here I am, back again!!
i hate that it says philip schuyler losing senate to aaron burr but then they act like they don’t know who it is and they have to read down to see his name again
I like the transition for the "Burr!" In the broadway version, but that's it. Schuyler Defeated is my least favorite song in the entire musical and it's a CRIME that this version never got into the final result.
[PHILIP] Look! Grandpa’s in the paper! "War hero Philip Schuyler in danger of losing senate to young upstart Aaron Burr?" Grandpa might lose his seat in the senate [ELIZA] I thought he was unopposed? [BURR] Since being one put me on the up and up again, hah [HAMILTON] No one know who you are or what you do [BURR] They don’t need to know me, they don’t like you [HAMILTON] Excuse me? [HAMILTON] I always considered you a friend [BURR] I don’t see why that has to end A senate seat was up for grabs and I took it It’s not my fault people think you’re crooked [HAMILTON] You’re gonna make a fool of me through my father in law? [BURR] There’s the kid who almost shot Charles Lee in the jaw My god, your pride will be the death of us all Beware, it goeth before the fall! [ELIZA] Alexander, there you are [HAMILTON] Eliza? "no, he'll consider this a personal slander, I gotta stop a homicide." my favorite
NO WRDDDD
me personally i love the “OH!”
"there's the kid who almost shot charles lee in the jaw" is a slept on line though, it's delivered in such a particular way
“I gotta i gotta find alexander”
“Let him no we’re on his side?”
“He’ll consider this a personal slander, i gotta stop a homicide”
*oh*

Damn I never thought of that.
That doesn’t make sense though because Burr doesn’t know until he talks with Madison and Jefferson and that’s a couple songs after Schuyler Defeated
Also, this was before the affair ever happened, wasn't it?
I think what you're trying to say is foreshadowing the "Reynolds affair"
@@paralleldj1014still works as foreshadowing
“Here’s the kid who almost shot Charles Lee in the jaw.” I LOVE IT
the rhymes bounce off eachother so well during that little section
*That would’ve shut him up*
This song hinting at Phillip and Theodosia being good for each other hurts so much when you realize both of them died young
Theodsia (child) didnt die young her mother (also Theodosia) died after she had her they have the same name referenced in dear theodosia reprise (another deleted song)

I love how Pippa says Alexander "alexender" 😂
You can hear the moment where it would transition into the next song in the final release
“But one day he’ll run Manhattan” OW
