If they arrest Trump for doing bad things, then they have to arrest Hillary Clinton, and Biden, and Obama, because they all do horrible things all of them, they're all in the same exact club. I'm German and work close to a military training area. Now I hear the soldiers practise all the time. I hear gun fire every day. We (Germany) are not at war, but it makes everything more real. It makes me really uneasy. I hope this is over soon and my heart goes out to Ukraine, the Ukrainian people and the Russians who suffer under Putin.

this is not the kind of case DOJ is going to talk about. for as imperfect as government lawyers are, especially prosecutors, they're professionals, and you don't mess around with something this big. you don't put anyone on this case who you can't trust to keep their mouth shut. when it comes to cases like this, you play the long game. there are some exceptions, but by and large, we lawyers move slowly. legal processes take a lot of time, and when you're the prosecutors in charge of building the case against a former president of the United States, you're not running around like a chicken with your head cut off. you have to ignore the fact the former president in question is Orange Julius Caesar and not, you know, someone respectable and consider the optics of the whole situation.
what I'm trying to say is that still waters run deep. yeah, we're not hearing about the day to day of whoever is building the case, but that doesn't mean it's not happening. we need to be patient, and I do genuinely believe it's just a matter of time.
and it's not just whether you can build the case. it's whether you're convinced the case you're building -- the exact charges, the exact events -- is the right one, whether you're convinced it's one that will stick, but you also don't want to go with something easy. this is a bit more important than Al Capone and tax evasion. so the whole process will take time, but it's inevitable in my judgment.
