Standard 4 No. 76084 Batters Wilpshire Bank on Loaded Test Run 20/9/2016

- In this video we see BR Standard 4 No. 76084 on her loaded mainline test run passing Wilpshire Bank and Pleasington with 37669 on the back for good measure.
The Carnforth Circle route was used for this trip and we really get a feel for the power of the locomotive as she barks up Wilpshire Bank.
Both these shots were accessible without having to trespass and it is a sorry state of affairs when I had to take a step back from a group of people who had gone line-side for a video with no permit or even any safety equipment.

Wonderful production Ian; 76084 was really digging in on the first clip, and showing a fine turn of speed on the second clip! Along with the BR 80000 tanks, they were my fav standard locos, after "The Duke" of course! Great to see her restored and running on the main network once again!! Cheers. Ken
Cheers for the comment Ken. Yes, I remember riding behind her a few years back at ELR and she was good then but is certainly showing power on the mainline, this was a first for me as I've never seen a Standard 4 on the mainline! Hopefully we will see more of this from now on.

Very good show there. Didn't sound as if the 37 was even running, let alone providing any push.
Just ticking over, not even providing power to haul itself, the standard was doing all the work!
