Corrections: Spawn cant tank hits from God nor can he tank close to on the regular. He had a temporary power boost when he fought "God" and doesnt normally have that level.
Also for the "God" the actual true "God" is called the mother. The person he fought is more on the level of Marvel's Odin at best and DC's Zues's avatar at least.

Here's my "good" reason ghost rider has the Edge.
Ghost rider has easily defeated Null the living darkness. A Entity who even The defenders and Squadron Supreme couldn't stop. Null Possesses Overmind which is one the most powerful telepaths in the universe. Overmind is able to match the Stranger, a being on par with Galactus and can decimate solar system with a thought.
Beat the shit out of both Marduk kurios and his aspect Mephisto.
Zarathos. That's it. Once Zarathos in control, it makes ghost rider completely immune to Heavenly weapons. Ghost rider has clearly edge over spawn because of zarathos.
Unless spawn is "Marvel's Yahweh" aka the creator of ghost rider level, I don't see him taking down Ghost rider.
Also Spawn survived the attack because of MOM.

I can say much more, but stopping time is the main thing you gave in advantages. Also, Ghost Rider is immune to mind control or psychological influence. The Penance Stare would destroy Spawn from the inside out due to his immense guilt and regret, along with all the pain he felt and inflicted. All of that becomes physical damage and would begin to burn Spawn's soul to a crisp.

I know this was stated about 3 months ago but spawn also has a penance stare of his own! He can summon the people that you’ve hurt and let those souls tare you apart and even your soul.
Yeah but that would have no effect on Ghost Rider because he has no soul and can als control souls just as well as spawn can. I really want spawn to be the winner in this fight because i think he is a far more interesting character but the truth is Ghost Rider is way more powerful overall and his Penance Stare would just cripple Spawn.
Ghost riders penance stare wouldn’t work on spawn either because spawn doesn’t have a soul, it was stated in the comics that his soul was trapped in hell by malbeolgia. And spawn can lift buildings, as when he was fighting urizen he grabbed like a 12 story building with one hand and threw it at urizen.
Spawns hax aren’t talked about too much, hellspawns can just stop time.

Alright nah I can't have you doin Spawn like that in the strength department, dude was fighting Urizen (basically some old god that fought ALL of Heaven and Hell) and got stepped on and lifted his foot off him and Urizen is a litterally giant and this was just regular Spawn at the time
They should do a new Spawn movie. The one in the 90's was okay they didn't really showcase all of Spawns powers only a few. They set it up at the birth of Spawn so he didn't even know what he was capable of. He started to figure it out in the tail end. I mean for God sakes at the end he was single handedly taking on Satan's army. Now that's badass!
