Well in Norse Mythology, Thor doesn't actually create his lightning, nor does it come from Mjolnir. It just appears, as a byproduct of the sheer amount of unstoppable energy he produces.
Honestly, Mjolnir could have left at any time. Thor was obviously dead set on becoming something other than the hammer-weilder, so it could have gone to find the next best. Instead it stayed. I dont think it was "broken," or that Thor really beat it into submission, but it was helping him train. It prodded Thor to take that path, after all
Maybe Mjolnir needed Thor to become someone greater than itself. The fact that it nudges him after the explanation of becoming Iron Fist looks like it was pushing him to that path.

I liked Thor’s character development here. Before he was fixated on being worthy of Mjolnir but now he has outgrown the brick on a stick and the hammer feels unworthy to be wielded by a true god. Bahaha this is like those situations where the girl breaks up with the guy thinking she could do better and when he betters himself she lurches back and the guy outgrew her.

This is what they should have done with Love and Thunder. Have the thunderer be a god who escaped Gorr, have Jane be out fighting Gorr with Mjolnir, not a god so constantly spared by Gorr but fighting the butchering of the Gods, until Thor has grown his abilities as the God of Fists, completing the arc from Ragnarok until he's worthy again, so at the last moment he's able to team up with Jane to take down Gorr, but thor himself isn't enough and he and Jane have to seyt aside their differences and genuinely work together to do it Jane sacrifices herself and Mjolnir to destroy the necrosword and Gorr once and for all, Thor returns to lead Asgard and we're teased Knull, god of the necrosword and all the symbiotes. Maybe tease that Hela had a symbiote too, a lobotomised one she controlled.

And Gorr gets his last wish becasue everything he fought for was just from his perspective and all for the life of his child who was killed by a supposed god who misled gorr and made him sacrifice everything in the promise he'd save her. Gorr manages to steal the gods weapon and slay them with the promise to avenge her and get her back. The plot worked out because gorr wins just to save his daughter sacrificing himself to do so. Your version is just basic and the good guy always wins

Thor's character must suffer a loss and in the MCU it already did. In my version I'd still have Jane die of cancer and Gorr's wish maybe come true, I didn't mention that in my original comment. Less partial to that last bit though, since redeeming Gorr takes away from his villainy. In the comics, Gorr was a fucking MENACE. Too often the MCU has relatable or tragic or motivated villains, the High Evolutionary in GOTG 3 is the only well and true MENACE I can think of. Gorr should've been one too, to balance the Taika comedy in LaT. If you'd actually read them you'd know the MCU Gorr is wasted potential.

I wouldn't recommend it. The run have some moments, but it's mostly bad. The big fight at the end got so clunky and the execution is just horrendous. Parts I liked was Steve, this Thor, and the Avenger Prime twist. Other things just felt too try hardy and feels cringe in some parts.
Great Story! I liked it! It didn’t seem to bludgeon your head with useless backstory and showed that you have to step up and do something to find your purpose in life! I think my absolute favorite Thor story was Vikings. Just a great and unexpected tale of cursed Vikings that give old Goldilocks a run for his money! Cool appearance by Dr. Strange and an unorthodox victory and conclusion.

Well in Norse Mythology, Thor doesn't actually create his lightning, nor does it come from Mjolnir. It just appears, as a byproduct of the sheer amount of unstoppable energy he produces.

Honestly, Mjolnir could have left at any time. Thor was obviously dead set on becoming something other than the hammer-weilder, so it could have gone to find the next best. Instead it stayed. I dont think it was "broken," or that Thor really beat it into submission, but it was helping him train. It prodded Thor to take that path, after all
Maybe Mjolnir needed Thor to become someone greater than itself. The fact that it nudges him after the explanation of becoming Iron Fist looks like it was pushing him to that path.

I liked Thor’s character development here. Before he was fixated on being worthy of Mjolnir but now he has outgrown the brick on a stick and the hammer feels unworthy to be wielded by a true god. Bahaha this is like those situations where the girl breaks up with the guy thinking she could do better and when he betters himself she lurches back and the guy outgrew her.

This is what they should have done with Love and Thunder. Have the thunderer be a god who escaped Gorr, have Jane be out fighting Gorr with Mjolnir, not a god so constantly spared by Gorr but fighting the butchering of the Gods, until Thor has grown his abilities as the God of Fists, completing the arc from Ragnarok until he's worthy again, so at the last moment he's able to team up with Jane to take down Gorr, but thor himself isn't enough and he and Jane have to seyt aside their differences and genuinely work together to do it
Jane sacrifices herself and Mjolnir to destroy the necrosword and Gorr once and for all, Thor returns to lead Asgard and we're teased Knull, god of the necrosword and all the symbiotes. Maybe tease that Hela had a symbiote too, a lobotomised one she controlled.

And Gorr gets his last wish becasue everything he fought for was just from his perspective and all for the life of his child who was killed by a supposed god who misled gorr and made him sacrifice everything in the promise he'd save her. Gorr manages to steal the gods weapon and slay them with the promise to avenge her and get her back. The plot worked out because gorr wins just to save his daughter sacrificing himself to do so. Your version is just basic and the good guy always wins

Thor's character must suffer a loss and in the MCU it already did. In my version I'd still have Jane die of cancer and Gorr's wish maybe come true, I didn't mention that in my original comment.
Less partial to that last bit though, since redeeming Gorr takes away from his villainy. In the comics, Gorr was a fucking MENACE. Too often the MCU has relatable or tragic or motivated villains, the High Evolutionary in GOTG 3 is the only well and true MENACE I can think of. Gorr should've been one too, to balance the Taika comedy in LaT. If you'd actually read them you'd know the MCU Gorr is wasted potential.

In the begininning he kinda gets his ass kicked and janes a badass, and he ultimately loses to Gorr. But the original comics did tell it a bit better. It was part of the Thor: God of Thunder run

I wouldn't recommend it. The run have some moments, but it's mostly bad. The big fight at the end got so clunky and the execution is just horrendous. Parts I liked was Steve, this Thor, and the Avenger Prime twist. Other things just felt too try hardy and feels cringe in some parts.
Thor, Ant-Man and Robbie Reyes is the team-up I never thought of but always needed.

Great Story! I liked it! It didn’t seem to bludgeon your head with useless backstory and showed that you have to step up and do something to find your purpose in life!
I think my absolute favorite Thor story was Vikings. Just a great and unexpected tale of cursed Vikings that give old Goldilocks a run for his money! Cool appearance by Dr. Strange and an unorthodox victory and conclusion.
