    Check out the BBC North & South mini-series with Richard Armitage.
    Non-fiction recs to level you up:
    level 1: Moonwalking with Einstein, by Joshua Foer, will literally give you a super power.
    level 2: Buddhism Without Beliefs, by Stephen Batchelor, will change your way of life-no faith required.

    even though you feel a reading slump coming you still had such a good reading month and I'm hoping that december will be a good month for you as well (not just for reading but in general 💖)
    I know you generally don't like scifi but since you liked All You Need Is Kill maybe you'd like The Light Brigade by Kameron Hurley, it's about a war between Earth and Mars where the maincharacter ends up time travelling through different parts of the war. It's really gorey and good, I really enjoyed so maybe you will too!
    The best books I read this month were The Book of Dragons, a short story collection about dragons and almost all of the stories were so good! I also read The Confessions of Frannie Langton which is about a freed-slave-forced-into-maid writing down her life history from within jail while she is standing trial for the murder of her mistress/lover. It was really really dark but also very very good!

    You have a nice manga collection :) I read Spy x Family through the app with blue light filter on. Last month I reread some older manga series like From far away. Some nonfiction I enjoyed this year that I would recommend are: The Mirror of My Heart: A Thousand Years of Persian Poetry by Women, Humankind: A Hopeful History by Rutger Bregman and China in Ten Words by Yu Hua.

    I’ve just started the vid, but I was thinking the other day while watching some of your older content, ”I wonder how many pages Bella reads in a year?” Then you answered how many you’ve read in a month. I just multiplied the amount you read for this month by 12 and based on that number you’ve read roughly 71,412 pages this year if not more. I’m wondering what the real number is!!

    • @throneofpages
      @throneofpages  Před 7 měsíci +1

      So far this year I’ve read 71,033 pages so close enough!! My mind is blown over how close your approximation is to the reality 😂

    One of my favorite books of all time is a nonfiction called a house in the sky. It reads almost like fiction (which is sort of heavy because of the content matter) but wow I highly recommend
