A shame they didn't have enough footage of Scorpina. She was criminally underused.
Very underused but they could have easily brought her back like they did goldar and bamboo and spike through out the rest of the story to space.

And one of the most underrated side villains in Power Rangers history, she really had a lot of potential to return in Seasons 2 and 3 of Mighty Morphin and make a comeback in PRIS.
Agreed. I liked Scorpina alot (besides when shes that giant bug fighting the zords), Power Rangers could have had another actress keep the role going like they did with Rita. Plus the show had a new look for Goldar as seasons went by.

1:25 This shot of Scorpina ordering the Putty Patrollers to attack was not actually Zyuranger stock footage. At Saban's request, Toei got Ami Kawai back in the Lami costume to shoot a brand-new scene, hence why her lip-flaps sync with Wendee Lee's voice.

I always thought I’d understand the bizarre scene of Scorpina’s summoning, with the breathing rock and two scorpions, better if I ever saw the Zyu version. Annnnd? Nope, I don’t! But them being married makes some things make sense. Remember him saying “Although she is a brave warrior, she is greatly outnumbered. She must be called back before it’s too late!” Goldar, showing concern for someone?! I thought there might be something between them, even as a kid. Who knew.

Hey guys, I just noticed that Scorpina/Lami is actually mouthing in English! 1:26 - 1:28 "Go Putty Patrol, attack the Power Rangers!" Though it's from a Japanese clip, it looks convincing!
Actually, that line was specifically added for Power Rangers. If you look closely they match because it is actually her mouthing the lines and then they dubbed over it with her English dub over. Because in the original Japanese as you see all she says is Golem and because that wouldn't really sync well they decide to just have the actress mouth a few English lines

It was funny back then I thought US American made the power ranger until 2001 I found out it was Japanese who made Sentai long ago start 1980 something before Mighty Morphin Power Ranger came American 1990 something. we all American's should thanks to the Japanese people without Sentai we may never see Power Ranger in our childhood memory.
Actually, Zyuranger came out in 1992, Power Rangers a year later.
We have seen a lot of Scorpina in the first season however her last appearence was in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Season 2 in Goldar's Vice-Versa and after that episode she was never seen or mention again in the rest of the second season or the third season which doesn't really make sense to me at all.
And she was a great villain. Missed opportunities

Scorpina was quite the side villain and it sucks that she didn't make more appearances in Mighty Morphin following Goldar's Vice Versa. I really wish that more footage of her was filmed and she made a comeback in PRIS. She would've somehow bounced off of Astronama and the other villains brilliantly and had a noble end despite her impending defeat at the end of the season.
But, honestly here, I'd have to go with Lami. I mean, the twist of her being the wife of Goldar's Sentai counterpart, Griffonzer, was something I wasn't expecting when I first watched Zyuranger and it was HILARIOUS! Not to mention, Lami can kick ass and she seemed to be more threatening and sneaky than Scorpina ever was. Plus, once she gets into her deviously seductive nature as we've seen near the end of her Sentai introduction, how can anybody get away from her?
Bottom line, for me, Lami for the win.

She turned evil alligning herself with satan (Kotar) and her gang was responsible for the dinosaurs being extinct. it was either Barza or the Diauyzani (megazord) who trapped her gang in an urn and exiled it to planet Nemesis

What makes Lami better is she knew when to use her henchmen. While fighting the guardians b4 they transformed lami took them on. But the sec they morphed Lami used her Henchmen to attack.

So far, the only sentai female villains that I've seen so far that are actually well-writtenl Escape from Go-Busters, Madame Noir from Toqger, Mele from Gekiranger and....well, Dinus from GoGo-V. But, that's about it.

AlexRN apparently when the first season was being filmed Toei was commissioned to shoot extra scenes with Machiko Soga and Ami Kawai in costume once again. That’s why that shot of her commanding the Putties was in sync with what she says.
The fact that power rangers came from a Japanese show is crazy. I feel lied to. I want to see the full original series from Japan.
