  • In modern football, it's rare to see true loyalty and now most think of it now as an old-school virtue. However, not too long ago, the sport lost the services of a talent who encapsulated this value like no other...Antonio "Toto" Di Natale. Here was a gentleman of the game, a captain who led by example, remaining in the Black and White stripes of Udinese when plenty of mouth-watering offers were thrown his way. Amongst Italy's all timers in the face of goal, few could come close to his numbers yet he remains in the shadows for many casuals, unaware of this utter legend whose highlights alone could turn anyone into a football fan.

A personal hero of mine, the best player to never win a World Cup or a Champions League title. If it was just Champions League it would be Totti, R9, Maradona and Romario. Nobody got close to those guys, his loyalty to the Zebrette is to be commended. Di Natale was Udinese, i don't believe any other player could've done what he did at Udine, maybe only Messi.

@@FreeSpeechAbsolutist7 between 2009 and 2011 only Messi and CR7 scored more goals than Di Natale in World Football buddy, in his prime he was on another level. Also R9, Totti, Maradona and Romario are all better footballers than Ibra, you're talking about 4 World Cup winners here, with 1 of them having scored more than 700 goals. Ibra is a generational talent, but you've got guys like Totti who's joint 3rd for most assists in World Cup history, and 2nd highest Goalscorer in Serie A all time, R9 one of the greatest footballers to have ever lived and Ibra would tell you the best he's seen, Romario who led Brazil to so much glory internationally and only didn't win the Ballon d'Or because foreign players weren't eligible, same goes for Maradona, then you get Di Natale, the 6th highest Goalscorer in Serie A history, he's even above Roberto Baggio there and Averages the same goal output as Baggio, and that guy was the best player on the planet at a time. So don't ever underestimate Di Natale, he was an absolute beast, and stayed loyal to the Zebrette. No mercenary for hire.

@@sluglow6357 this guy did it at the Zebrette buddy, even got them to 3rd, that's something Pep Guardiola and Baggio couldn't do together at Brescia. If you actually watched the guy play you would know, but you were probably in diapers when he took the Zebrette to 3rd in Serie A, also this man wasn't playing with Maldini and Co, I support Milan and wished we had him to lead the line after Inzaghi, Di Natale outscored Milito, Totti, Gilardino and Cavani, in 09/10, and proceeded to outscore Cavani, Eto'o, Totti, Ibrahimovic, Pato, Robinho also netted 3 hatricks in 10/11. If you know you know my friend, this guy did it proper. Also those guys you mentioned, Fillipo Inzaghi is better than every single one of them, maybe not Baggio but definitely the rest, and he has the record to prove it.

As Romanisti, I always have soft spot for him. Him & Totti are complement each other playstyle as Toto still can dribble his way out while Totti is a playmaker.
His longevity as a player needs to be appreciated. Only some in their 30's can still score more than 10 goals per season and Toto is one of them. It's because Serie A between 2006-2013 still relying on cattenacio and hit on the break tactical game plan. Putting him in this era of Serie A, he will shine even more 🥰🥰
I always wish he is injured everytime he facing Roma, cause we knew abt his quality. Even Totti admit it ❤
    Grazie Toto 🙏🙏🙏

If totti and delpiero were not exist, im sure dinatale will have 100 caps for italy, its already headache for italy coach to decided to play totti or delpiero

Even if i dont waschen Udinese at all, i know di Natale for his greatness. That man developed into an elite striker.

Let's face it - Di Natale was never really "underrated", or else the Italian national team wouldn't have selected him. Just that trophy-less legacies are easily forgotten.

He’s the real boss after you beat the final boss, like the Valkyrie in GoW, just chilling in the middle of nowhere with a crazy ass power level.
