I'll be installing my gate in the next few days, and I'm so glad I watched this video first. This will save me a lot of time to have this overview of the steps in my head as I install. Thank you!!

I read the directions but was apprehensive of how the hinges went on until I watched this. Thanks so much you made it look easy.

Getting it for Grandma!
Wow. Thank you. We have this gate. Watching you answered a lot of questions.
Glad it was helpful!
@@NewParentsInTraining I did something wrong. It is out of alignment. I used the template. Any suggestions?
sorry just saw this, how are things off alignment? First I would adjust the spindles on both ends to "make" things align, that would be the easiest. If the latching housings are off alignment, then you may need to unscrew and make sure the housing is straight before screwing back on. It's hard, but it's doable.
Thanks, I finally got it installed. The wall studs are in awkward positions. It is slightly out of alignment. But we got it to work. Thanks for your help.
glad to hear~!
Good video!
excellent buy I recommend it
Fantastic video. Very well explained. Perhaps it’s just me, but I found it very tricky to get everything to line up properly.
No, it does take a bit to line up properly, just make sure measure twice drill once! 😀
Thanks, your video helped me! The little line drawings in the manual were difficult to see.
This one looks like exactly what we need, now just trying to find it in Canada
We got ours through Amazon. Or you can try their website and see if they can ship to Canada.
Great video!! Very informative and well done. Allow me to suggest that before you screw in the screws that you pre drill pilot holes. Especially on the wood trim as it could split the wood and cause damage.
Thanks so much. This is really helpful. The only thing we’re working around is that the bottom near the top of our steps leaves little room for installation (width wise) and we’re concerned about damaging the wood it’s going into. Would it work to use that wall nally/wall bumpers with this gate?
I have heard good things about Wall Nanny, amzn.to/38vgo5X. I have not try it myself, but it might work for you.
Thank you
Thanks
Great video. If the area where we need to mount the gate has no stud, would something like a drywall anchor work?
Thank you for watching! I am not sure if drywall anchors would be strong enough. We have a video on some other gates, czcams.com/video/Ook5C2K2B70/video.html, especially the Regalo one. That one is long, but you could use just a portion of it instead of the whole thing. I am not sure what style of stair way you have, you could check out these as well, Summer Metal Banister - amzn.to/2VrwuX7, and Regalo 2-in-1 Stairway - amzn.to/36x1WcE
Andddddd that bottom screw will never come out again haha
Great video! Quick question. I noticed on my templates (like yours) the dashed lines on the left/right (handle/hinge) sides are not centered with the wall attachments. It seems as though this will make the attachments and gate misaligned if they aren't lined up exactly. Do you think this is an error, or are the dashed lines off center for a reason? Thank you so much!
Does this gate have a threshold bar
How is the gate holding up? And does the latch still work?
Yep all is well, it still works like day one!
Got a stairs with no walls to drill into just two metal railings.. any ideas for a baby gate?
You might need to get something that is super wide, such as Regalo. I did a video of it, czcams.com/video/Ook5C2K2B70/video.html, see if that helps.
I have found couple more that might be more suited for you, Summer Metal Banister - amzn.to/2VrwuX7, and Regalo 2-in-1 Stairway - amzn.to/36x1WcE
I want to do this but how come on the instructions it says do not install at top of stairs?
I am not sure where you see that, the one I installed was North State model 5050, amzn.to/3eNckPu. The instruction mentioned, "When using the gate at the top of the stairs, never allow the gate to swing over the stairs."
it is too open to stop cats?
That depends on the size of the cats. There are gaps, if the cats are small, I think they can squeeze through.
No audio?
Who else's clicked off when the word studfinder was mentioned? 😂
