Couple of great brainiacs here lol. Glad Franny loves mechanical things and working on them because those boats are in constant need of work.
The same can be sail about classic cars. Most boats also have salt water to deal with, which ads a whole other layer.
I drove from Salado Texas to Effingham Illinois to the big VW FunFest in 2015 and then the next day drove nonstop from Illinois to the bottom of key West Florida and up to Orlando in 17 hours counting stops in my daily driver 1963 Volkswagen Beetle that has 1,100,000 on the chassis. It was one of my many fun trips indeed. I remember that road well. Love cruising my classic Beetle all over the country averaging 50,000 miles per year.

I did that drive from Indianapolis to Key West on a whim in my Austin Healey 3000 back in 1998. The old bridge was originally the Florida East Coast Railway line to Key West that was destroyed in a hurricane in the late 30s IIRC. I loved that boomerang trip. Someday I'll go back with my wife in one of our cars, but from CO it'll be a long drive. Love the new direction you guys are going!
Always nice to make a trip to key west. At one point my job required me to travel to key west monthly from Miami, so I know it well. When I was in my late teens I actually made a trip to key west that used the old bridge. Now that was an adventure the width of the bridge barely enough for two cars. The guard rails would not hold anyone that lost control. But a fun place, look forward to your journey with the boat.

As I'm laying under my 68 Campmobile that has been who knows where and has been down countless miles of dirt/ asphalt road, I wish I could talk to the previous owners and find out history. Can't wait to get her fired up to take it who knows where and see that it keeps on rolling.

It was a very long day. Funny you said that, we didn't have anything to eat or drink at that point. Just giddy with excitement.
Unlike cars, yachts are something I know nothing about. Hoping you'll kind of explain as you go -- anything you discuss related to boats will be new to me and totally interesting.
Yeah, kind of a left turn in a town you've never been in and you suddenly don't know where you are going.

Sail life (Mads) did some great work and we had him on our helm station less than a week ago. We do not have the Lagoon issues and we have just done our rigging. We have done other upgrades. You will see in future videos.
