    What make Dubai really safe is the laws and the security camera everywhere that push everyone to respect the law. It has nothing to do with humain nature. I think people are not more educated in Dubai vs the rest of the world. That makes me wonder if other “democratic” countries should strengthen their sentences if someone stole from anyone so they can deter to steal and make these countries more safe?

    • @22utoo
      @22utoo Před rokem +2

      Yes the laws plus the culture also has an effect. This test is like level 1 on easy mode because he drops them in commercial places that mostly have wealthy demographics and security cameras. The true test is the same areas but without security or staff. That said, heavier sentences would increase compliance sure. But I think the demographics also plays a huge role. Wealthy people have no need to steal for example, if someone is very poor he may have no choice.

    • @fatyghassem7123
      @fatyghassem7123 Před rokem +3

      @@22utoo thanks for your explanation really appreciate it. Are you saying that there is only wealthy people in Dubai? I agree with you, as a wealthy person leaving in Switzerland I don’t need to steal anything from anyone, if I find something I bring it to the police, also my education and my religious beliefs doesn’t put me in the need to steal anything no matter where I leave

    • @22utoo
      @22utoo Před rokem +1

      @@fatyghassem7123 You're welcome. No I'm not saying there are only wealthy people in Dubai, but the places and areas he went to are the wealthy spots, making the probability of theft lower. That area in Deira, is poor which he was warned about, in that area the probability is higher his wallet will be taken. Also in Deira, where it's supposed to be more poor, he went to the nicest building and public place, so not a true test in that area as well in this experiment, probably didn't want to risk the $1k in this area lol (thanks for the experiment either way Raphael, if you're reading this). I'd say sometimes religious beliefs/culture is all that's needed from preventing someone from doing that, not even education is needed. But the more someone is educated, the likely that they hold decent to high paying jobs, and as a result, they have no need to steal. Also keep in mind that the UAE is 95% expats or something, only 5% are Emaratis, so even if they lack education which I doubt, they are still very well taken care of by their government than an expat for example. Are you considering moving to the UAE? Switzerland is beautiful.
